Live long and prosper! Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, September 17!
Our Top Pick tonight is the premiere special for the upcoming children's show Secret Origin of the Batwheels (HBO Max, 3 a.m.). In the program, the Bat Family's vehicles gets Cars-ized and do their own part in fighting crime in Gotham City. It looks really bizarre.
Elsewhere, Batman HushesToonami, Red Election finds a lost boyfriend, weather goes Viral, the final Masters take the stage, and 48 Hours returns.

This Weekend in Pop Culture (9:30 p.m.): What pop culture have you consumed lately? This is our weekly thread for you talk about it.
STREAMING & EARLY PRIMETIME
πΊ Doctor Who (Retro TV, 6 p.m.): Hilda Winters, director of an English research institute, plots to use an experimental robot K1 to steal the nuclear launch codes and blackmail the world's governments with them.
πΊ Punk'd (Paramount+, now): This hidden camera–practical joke from Ashton Kutcher was rebooted for Quibi (and Roku after its demise), which I don't believe has been officially canceled. It's not the first reboot either. After the original of the Candid Camera-like series where celebrities are the victim, it was revived with guest hosts and a few years later, rebooted for BET. It was a pop culture stalwart for anyone who was young when the show first debuted.
Red Election (Ovation, 7 p.m.): Beatrice competes against the clock to save the life of GRU resource Yelena Alekin. Torben Jensen, Katrine's missing boyfriend, is finally found.
⭐ Secret Origin of the Batwheels (HBO Max, 3 a.m.): "It showcases the story of how the Batwheels team was formed." It looks weird. Like Cars meets the Bat Family.✔️
