What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Love is love

Love Island

No soggy bottoms! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, August 17!

Our Top Pick tonight is the trashy reality show Love Island (Peacock, 9 p.m.) because I'm bitter that my long-intended Top Pick was yanked from Wednesdays. The dating show came stateside via CBS, but Peacock picked it up for this season and next. Episodes premiere 5 nights a week with a recap on Saturdays. It is peak trash TV with a bunch of young people trying to hook up and maybe find an actual significant other.

Elsewhere, BET gets ViciousHSM is in disarray, kids do the BakingGrown-ish loses a roommate, Lili Reinhart looks Both Ways, Sacrifice goes linear, and relationships are Trash

(All times are Eastern. All listings are new unless otherwise stated. For more listings, visit The Futon Critic or Zap2it.)
