What's On Tonight (Sunday): COBRA fights terrorism in the cyber

Cobra

Welcome to the feud! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, July 17!

Our Top Pick tonight is the British thriller COBRA (PBS, 10 p.m.). The second season of this uneven series features a second calamity for prime minister Robert Carlyle and his chief of staff, Victoria Hamilton. This season the crisis is cyberterrorism, maybe by the Russians (a timely thought since it also involves Ukrainians). But maybe not. Citizens are dying, emergency communications are down, and anarchy is setting in.

ElsewhereBlood & Treasure resurfaces, Birdgirl already departs, History revives the Colosseum, Elizabeth is under house arrest, Bertie becomes snake food, Hotel Portofino is under suspicion, Grantchester finds a not-so-family friendly life, and Family Feud pushes it real good.

(All times are Eastern. All listings are new unless otherwise stated. For more listings, visit The Futon Critic or Zap2it.)

STREAMING & EARLY PRIMETIME

Blood & Treasure (Paramount+, 3 a.m.): SEASON PREMIERE. After a long hiatus, this underwhelming and forgettable adventure drama is back with "The Soul of Genghis Khan" and "Tales of the Golden Tiger."✔️

Evil (Paramount+, 3 a.m.): A single mother enlists the team to look into the potentially demonic ways the viral app TipTop is terrorizing her family.

📺 Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series (Disney+, now): Does anyone remember this animated show? I don't remember it being good. Inspired by the Mighty Ducks movies, this show followed a team of anthropomorphic hockey-playing ducks on planet Puckworld. They save their world. While it is in the Mighty Ducks franchise, it also, of course, has no relation to the recent TV reboot, Game Changers.
