What’s On Tonight (Thursday): Let’s have a little fun today

via Tumblr

Tonight’s Top Pick is the series finale of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the first episode of which I remember watching back in 2003. She had on Jennifer Aniston, recently declared by some magazine as Hollywood’s most powerful star. “So, do you use your powers for good or evil?”

Let’s see what else TV has to offer us for Thursday, May 26. All times are EST.

STREAMING

Look At Me: XXXTANTACION, 12:01 a.m., Hulu. Premiere. Explores how Florida teenager Jahseh Onfroy became SoundCloud rapper XXXTENTACION, one of the most streamed artists on the planet. Through frank commentary from family, friends and romantic partners, and unseen archival footage, director Sabaah Folayan offers a sensitive portrayal of an artist whose acts of violence, raw musical talent and open struggles with mental health left an indelible mark on his generation before his death at the age of 20.

That Damn Michael Che, 3:01 a.m., HBO Max. Second season premiere. “Emmy nominee Michael Che shares his uncompromisingly honest perspective on racial profiling, unemployment, falling in love and more in this one-of-a-kind sketch comedy series.” Six episodes available.

The Flight Attendant, 3:01 a.m., HBO Max. Season finale. “Backwards and Forwards.”

Hacks, 3:01 a.m., HBO Max. “Retired” and “Surf & Turf.” Two episodes available. Season finale next week.

Under the Banner of Heaven, 12:01 a.m., FX on Hulu. “Revelation.” “New details emerge about Brenda’s attempt to reckon with some of the Lafferty family’s most extreme members and beliefs, as Pyre and Taba hunt for those who killed Brenda before they can kill again.”

Better Call Saul Presents “Slippin’ Jimmy”, 3:01 a.m., AMC+. “City Flights.” “In this silent comedy, Jimmy McGill braves a city full of enormous dogs, angry policemen and dangerous trains to get a heartfelt gift for big brother Chuck.”

The Ipcress File, 3:01 a.m., Sundance Now and AMC+. “Under the diligent eyes of agent Jean, Palmer’s intuition edges them closer to the professor while gun-for-hire former MI6 man Randall is always one step ahead. A tip-off from a key witness draws Jean and Palmer closer to the truth but their discovery only opens the door to a more chilling mystery.”

The Offer, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. “Mr. Producer.” “Dissatisfied with the footage, Barry Lapidus orchestrates a potential coup as Ruddy initiates a bold plan to save both Coppola and Pacino’s jobs. Crime boss Carlo Gambino questions Colombo’s leadership as he holds another large Italian-American Civil Rights League rally.”

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. “Memento Mori.” “While on a routine supply mission to a colony planet, the U.S.S. Enterprise comes under an attack from an unknown malevolent force. Pike brings all his heart and experience to bear in facing the crisis, but the security officer warns him that the enemy cannot be dealt with by conventional Starfleet means.”

Girls5Eva, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. “B.P.E.” “Dawn and Wickie vie for the same solo on the album. Gloria and Summer attempt to clean up their pasts by tracking down copies of an old prank show they made for Lifetime Raw.”
