The US Olympic team is in China but the US diplomats stayed home in a protest boycott. The Russian Olympic team is still banned (and competing as ROC - not Russia) but Vladimir Putin is in Beijing to gain China's support for his planned annexation of Ukraine. And don't ask about the Uyghurs. [Vox]
