What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Jeff Goldblum brings you The World

The World According to Jeff Goldblum

Must go faster! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, January 19!

Our top pick tonight is the final half of season two to The World According to Jeff Goldblum (Disney+, 3 a.m.). The Emmy-nominated docuseries finds the Cats & Dogs actor discovering various subcultures that leaves him astounded and immensely curious. The first season included sneakers, jewelry, BBQ, gaming, and coffee, among others. In this setting/format, Goldblum is an acquired taste.

Elsewhere, Batwoman hunts Poison Ivy, Good Sam keeps it all in the family, Aldo is back on The Conners, Adam Goldberg is back from college orientation, Mariana Van Zeller seeks out cocaine, and Juanpis GonzΓ‘lez is a series.

STREAMING & EARLY PRIMETIME

πŸŽ₯ Vertigo (The Criterion Channel, now): There are many who list this movie about ex-police officer James Stewart trying to prevent a suicide as the master of suspense's finest movie. It certainly tops more lists than Hitchcock's other films, but his best? It certainly has a real cinematic style, and more layers than most. But you can decide for yourself. (I still vote North by Northwest.)

πŸ“Ί Night Court (IMDb TV, now): There's still several months until the Night Court revival arrives on NBC with John Larroquette, but a proper catch-up requires you to watch 9 seasons, comprised of just under 200 episodes. This 1980s sitcom had ideas right out of the gate, but it takes some years to find its footing and embrace the wacky and outlandish world of an evening courtroom, always with one foot outside the door of reality. You'll laugh, you'll cry, it'll become a part of you. RIP Harry. RIP Markie. RIP Charles. RIP Paula.✔️

The Book of Boba Fett (Disney+, 3 a.m.): Chapter 4. The show pivots to a multicamera sitcom starring Boba Fett and the rancor, his BFF. Danny Trejo is the wacky neighbor.

πŸ’² Jeopardy! (Syndicated, check local listings): Can anything stop the Amy train?

The World According to Jeff Goldblum (Disney+, 3 a.m.): SEASON 2, PART 2. The latter half of the sophomore season finds the actor discovery about the world/subcultures of motorcycles, backyards, puzzles, birthdays, and tiny things. Five episodes are released.
