I was a little too old for Fraggle Rock when it first premiered on HBO. That I still watched it is a testament to how enjoyable the show was and also how little quality programming there was for kids back then (seriously, kids these days have no idea how good they have it). It's less surprising that Apple TV+ decided to revive the series than no one decided to do so before. It couldn't have been a terribly expensive show to produce, and the repeats of the original series have continued to air ever since the original was cancelled. I'm happy that a new generation of kids will be able to ponder exactly how the universe of the Fraggles work.
Elsewhere:
*Ozark returns for the first half of its final season because it's a popular show and Netflix needs to drag it out a bit more.
*Real Time with Bill Maher is back as well ending our blessed time away from all things Bill Maher.
*The M. Night Shyamalan produced series Servant returns for its penultimate season (it's already been renewed for a fourth and final season). I assume the twist will be the show is actually called Serve Ants and will ultimately conclude with mankind welcoming their new ant overlords.
Finally, I watched the last two episodes of The Expanse and I am now at peace. It was a solid, albeit too short season. Even with the fewer episodes it still felt like budget cuts were a problem, but the last episode did have a rather spectacular space battle that ranks up there with the best the show has done. My biggest pet peeve was the time spent in Laconia that did nothing but set up a future storyline that will probably never be filmed. That was time and money that could have been better used elsewhere (and anyone who hadn't read the books probably didn't know what the hell was going on).
