What's On Tonight (Sunday): Squidbillies' games closing ceremony

Squidbillies

What's On Tonight, a QM production! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, December 12!

Tonight's Top Pick is the series finale of veteran animated comedy Squidbillies (Adult Swim, midnight). For 13 seasons, the show followed Early Cuyler (voiced by Tracy Morgan in this final season) and his poor, dysfunctional squid family who live in rural Appalachian in Georgia. I'm know the show has its fans and filled a niche. It wasn't my cup of tea.

Elsewhere, the Roy siblings manage GoJo-Waystar fallout, the White House celebrates Christmas, 60 Minutes explores space, Miss Universe is crowned, the Yellowjackets have a slumber party, Dexter might not be alone, and Joe Pera attempts woodworking.

(All times are Eastern. All listings are new unless otherwise stated. For more listings, visit The Futon Critic or Zap2it.)

Jingle is arrested for her actions, which violated direct orders. She might be licensed to kill, but her rescue heroics upset far too many people. Now it's Cassie's turn to save Jingle, who is placed in a secret military prison. She goes to her Godwink International and begins to call contacts and start pulling strings. Cassie was already fully aware of what Jingle discovered last week about the War on Christmas. The arms manufacturers selling to both sides, the banking industry's private lobbying to keep the war well funded, the energy sector selling to the highest bidder of the two sides for resources, etc. Now she has to appease the suits and the behind the scenes people who privately run Christmasia. It will be a delicate balance of diplomacy, and possibly trading and selling confidential information. She works for an international nonprofit; she has seen and heard it all. Cassie just got her sister back. She isn't going to lose her already!
