Mayor of Kingstown |
Smoke on your pipe and put that in! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, November 28!
Tonight's Top Pick is the terrible Mayor of Kingstown (Paramount+, 3 a.m.). In it, Jeremy Renner is the man who keeps the Michigan city of Kingstown together, leaving the underworld operating and the city at a tolerable "peace." Given it's a Taylor Sheridan series, the show has lots of manly men with big family problems (family!) and women who mostly sit on the sidelines and occasionally be hysterical. Poor Diane Wiest. The pilot had lots of nudity for no reason, and of course it was pretty graphic for (empty) shock value. Keeping the drug traffickers, dirty cops, and prisoners happy is a tough job, and this mayor will do it. It's the family business.
Elsewhere, a new John Boy Walton must find his father for Homecoming, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga sing One Last Time, Anthrax is unleashed in the Hot Zone, the World Beyond ceases, The Simpsons does a flashback, Family Guy goes noir, Helen Mirren questions Potter fans, and Jessica Walter joins the IMF.
60 Minutes (CBS, 7 p.m.): A 19-year-old freshman who of died of alcohol poisoning while pledging a fraternity... mountain gorillas in Rwanda... actress Rita Moreno.
