King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard announce 2022 world tour.  The band will tour the U.S. and Europe next spring to fall. The tour comes on the heels of the release of their newest album, Butterfly 3000.

U2 to release a deluxe 30th anniversary edition of Achtung Baby. It is set to drop November 19, ahead of its 50-track digital boxset which will be available December 3. The boxset will feature B-sides, remixes, and material previously unavailable digitally.

1973: David Bowie is the host of a special edition of the ABC show Midnight Special. His show is called 1980 Floor Show, and features Bowie doing a duet of "I Got You Babe" with Marianne Faithfull, who wears a nun's habit with an open back.

2003: Britney Spears, at 21 years old, became the youngest singer to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Mick Rock

Mick Rock, has died at age 72. The legendary photographer and official photographer of David Bowie, worked with Iggy Pop, Blondie, Lou Reed, and many more.  His photos were featured as album covers for several artists including Syd Barret's Madcap Laughs, Lou Reed's Transformer and Coney Island Baby, and The Ramones' End of the Century. His books include 2 collections of Bowie photographs. In addition to his photography, he directed Bowie's videos for “Space Odyssey,” “Life on Mars?”, “Jean Genie” and “I’m Only Dancing.” He served as chief photographer for The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Shortbus. Rock grew up in London and developed an interest in photography after attending concerts in his youth.
