1989: In Back to the Future Part II, Marty McFly spies on his future self, who is foolishly led into a shady business deal by his co-worker Douglas J. Needles, played by Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

November 23
1993: Guns N' Roses release The Spaghetti Incident.

November 24
1991: Freddie Mercury of Queen dies of AIDS-related bronchial pneumonia in Kensington, London, England, at age 45.

November 25
1984: In London, Bono, George Michael, David Bowie, Jody Watley, Paul McCartney and a passel of other stars record vocals for "Do They Know It's Christmas?," the first big all-star charity single.

November 26
1965: After cleaning a church in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, where they had Thanksgiving dinner the day before, Arlo Guthrie and a friend clean up the place, but toss the trash down a hill when they can't find an open dump. They are arrested, fined $25 each, and forced to pick up the garbage. When they return to the church, Guthrie writes "Alice's Restaurant Massacre" about the incident, embellishing some details.

November 27
1969: The Rolling Stones record Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! at New York City's Madison Square Garden. In the audience is Jimi Hendrix, celebrating his 27th (and last) birthday.
 

November 28

1974: John Lennon makes his last concert appearance when he joins Elton John on stage at Madison Square Garden, reciprocating for Elton's appearance on "Whatever Gets You Thru The Night" and making good on a bet he lost: Elton wagered that "Whatever Gets You Thru The Night" would hit #1 in the US, and when it did, Lennon owed the appearance. The pair perform that song and also do The Beatles' "I Saw Her Standing There" and "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds."

Joni Mitchell's yearlong relationship with David Crosby is legendary. Fresh from being booted from The Byrds, Crosby happened to catch a Mitchell show in Florida. In 1967, they became romantically involved and while Crosby admits their time together wasn't fun, she taught him about chord complexity and how to retune a guitar. During this time, he wrote 'Guinnivere' and 'Deja Vu', both of which would later become part of CSNY's 1974 album, So Far. Mitchell designed the cover art for this album.
