1973: James Taylor and Carly Simon were married. They separated in 1982 and were divorced later.

1961: Bob Dylan made his Carnegie Chapter Hall debut in New York City. The show was seen by 50 people who paid two dollars each at Carnegie Hall.

1957: A Flock of Seagulls lead singer Mike Score is born in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Before landing his famous gig, he makes a living as a hairdresser.  This fact either confuses further or helps make sense of this:

1979: Running on a platform that includes making businessmen wear clown suits, Jello Biafra of the punk band Dead Kennedys comes in fourth in his run for mayor of San Francisco. Dianne Feinstein is the winner.

November 7
2020: The Doobie Brothers, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Whitney Houston, The Notorious B.I.G., and T. Rex enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Because of coronavirus, the ceremony is virtual and there are no performances.
