Much of the bullshit Manchin pulls isn't about reelection at all. He's not acting in the interest of West Virginians or even what many West Virginians think is their interest. Joe Manchin is only acting in his own interest. [CNN]

Let's look a little closer look at Judge Bruce Schroeder who has done a terrible job presiding over the Kyle Rittenhouse murder trial. I will believe that he's not pro-defendant but I don't think his choices have been that generic. He's said that murdered BLM protesters cannot be called victims because it's loaded language that could make their murderer look bad. But the defense is free to call the murder victims rioters and looters. This smacks of racism and politics. [NBC]
The US has issued it's first intersex passport. Just a friendly reminder that federal identification trumps state IDs like driver's licenses so Texas, Florida and the other usual suspects are just going to have to suck it up and honor it. [Associated Press]
