It's not exactly as if I have ran out of ideas, y'know? But sometimes you just feel like writing about nothing. Hilariously, there are a lot of songs that fit this theme, so let's go for the two birds for one stone special and submerge into the waters of nothing songs.

Let's start with this wonderful Manic Street Preachers collaboration track about nothingness, melancholic feelings, and other asserted Manics stuff.
Let's band on the moments in life you feel empty and sad and lonely and you just want the nothing to end, usually represented by bad stuff happening, just as in this System of a Down track.
In this Kiss track, our narrator is having a serious case of the sads, or we can go the literal route and think they're getting pulled by some sort of black hole with a gravitational pull and the like. Even when pulled into nothing, there's this fight to get out.
Sometimes the nothingness can come from lack of freedom, such as with this Elton John song, one of the longest ones in his extense career, about a prisoner in his cell and his very literal always-seeing-gray days.
Let's close with Bowie once again for the bajillionth time in this column's lifetime, because space can be a very exciting place full of nothing, and maybe for some that nothingness can bring them joy... or maybe they're just weirdos. Ground control to Major Tom...
What's your favorite song about nothing? Do you have days in where you just feel like doing nothing?
