What's On Tonight (Wednesday): More toons get their news from Tooning Out the News

Tooning Out the News

No whammies! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, August 11!

Tonight's Top Pick is the mostly-animated series Tooning Out the News (Paramount+, 3 a.m.), which recently surpassed the 200-episode mark and also boasts an Emmy nomination. The short form cable news parody show is a quasi-spinoff of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's animated segments. It has a rotation of various segments like "The Establishment with Tory Hughes" and "Smart Talk Tonight" and includes a special IRL guest. The animation is, um, lacking (same kind as seen on Our Cartoon President). There's a reason this was nominated as a short form series and not an animated program.

Elsewhere, Marvel wonders if you wonder What If, Randall Park's talk Show wraps, Cribs is back after a 10-year absence, Riverdale is back in session, Joey Fisher has her third shift at the Booth, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard Fight, Kevin O'Leary delivers Courtroom justice, and Dave releases his album.

⭐ Tooning Out the News (Paramount+, 3 a.m.): This show doesn't do previews, so who knows what the episode will entail.
