What's On Tonight (Sunday): The underappreciated, unparalleled and unforgettable Unforgotten

Unforgotten

Surf's up! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, July 18!

Tonight's Top Pick is the British import Unforgotten, back for a fourth season on PBS because of viewers like you. Thank you. Each season follows detectives who investigate crimes from the past and finding secrets that've been buried for years. The show is excellent with the masterful second season being by far my favorite. This season, we have DCI Nicola Walker denied a slightly early retirement, and forced to go back to a job that isn't good for her mental health anymore. This season's case surrounds a body found frozen in an old fridge, and it might involve a copper cover-up. Might. It's still early. But now I want a Line of Duty crossover, which like Unforgotten, is top tier television.

Elsewhere, HBO goes surfing, Showtime goes to The End, Discovery returns to the Serengeti, Jesus prepares a sermon, Kanan Stark gets a Power backstory, Starz gets Deceived, The CW serves more Dead Pixels, sitcoms about friends get profiled, and CNN explores Jerusalem's history.
