What's On Tonight (Friday): Do You Want More Olympics or Maximum Van Damme-age?

The Last Mercenary

So the 2020 Olympics are still going on and I'm sure everyone cares about all the different sports that they pay no attention to when the Olympics aren't happening but I'm ready to move on.  They got their Top Pick honor last week and I see no reason to repeat myself, so instead I'm going with a Netflix Jean-Claude Van Damme original.  I haven't seen any of his films in a very long time but the ad for this one makes the film look like a lot of fun and having just finished binging Mare of Eastwood I need the change of pace.

On streaming we've got a very special pandemic-inspired episode of Grand Tour, a new music docu-series from Mark Ronson, two Romeo Santos specials, and someone named Zoe who apparently likes to get baked.  Elsewhere the broadcast/cable pickings are slim.  We do have a new Lifetime Movie Network film called "Malicious Intentions" that was under consideration for Top Pick (as all LMN films are), but I couldn't find a trailer so it lost out.  That's on you, LMN executives.
