Greetings, earthlings! I'm back here with songs about drugs! Yes, again! But, like, last time we did marijuana, this time we're doing coke. Artists LOVE writing about drugs, so why am I not gonna exploit the living shit outta the theme, amirite?! So, anyways, roll up that dollar bill and get a snort of this article... okay, maybe I'm not that good at cocaine references. I never did drugs, folks.

My favorite song about cocaine, and the one that inspired this article, has to be this fun The Darkness ditty in where Justin Hawkins explains his bizarre experience with coke at the beginning of the band's career in a very Darkness-y way (up to eleven, that is). It's not the only song by the band to be about drugs, but it's probably the most obvious one.
Not only modern rock writes songs about coke, classic rock does too! Otherwise ask Fleetwood Mac and their not-that-subtle take, replacing the white dust with gold one.
The usual metaphorical coke usage reference is talking about snow because, you see, a pile of cocaine looks like a pile of snow, apparently. I don't know, y'all, to me it looks like a pile of flour, but I've never seen Ozzy Osbourne sing about flour, so there's that.
Straight-up taken from the Scarface soundtrack is this Debbie Harry track that apparently needed to be subtle in the name mention even though it's part of the songs from a movie about a coke kingpin. The mysteries of life.
As it's tradition up in here, let's close with the great late Bowie. As pretty much everyone knows, he had a very big coke period in his life, and he frequently wrote songs about it, such as this track that describes the mood swings and relationship he had with the powder. Just as with The Darkness, it's not his only song about coke, so feel free to add your favorite of his oeuvre in the comments.
What's your favorite song about cocaine? Do you think it's an interesting theme to write way too many tunes about it?
