The Handmaid's Tale |
Praise be! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, May 19!
Tonight's Top Pick is the show I still defend as some darn good TV, The Handmaid's Tale. This season is a shift, June is on the run and done showing any signs of submission as she runs through Gilead, which is prepping for war in Chicago. Aunt Lydia was demoted as her handmaids kept rebelling, but she is fighting-ish to get power back with Lawrence's help. Even the stories in Canada are more intriguing now; the country is trying to place nice-ish with Gilead. There are still plot holes and story hiccups, but as popcorn TV, it's good.
Elsewhere, Erica Goldberg gets a proposal, Human: The World Within profiles how the body defends itself, Malawi vets save animals, more of the best Jeopardy! contestants return, Nova reinvestigates the Hindenburg disaster, Mother might be dating a murderer, PBS takes us to the Waterhole, the SEAL Team protects oil, and the Drew Crew plans their demise of Everett.
