What's On Tonight (Wednesday): The search is on for our favorite Martian

NASA's Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover Landing Animations

Hello my fellow Earthlings! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, February 24!

Tonight, Nova is dissecting out of this world stuff, which means I'm going to obsess over it and of course give it Top Pick. Last week, NASA's Perseverance rover landed on Mars, so tonight, we learn about the search for life on the Red Planet, which is a purpose for Perseverance. The search for Uncle Martin begins!

ElsewhereAmerican Housewife turns 100, For Life finishes, Darlene Conner is the boss, Mr. Andrews, Ms Cooper, Ms Lodge, and Mr. Jones begin teaching, Resident Alien has a wife, Netflix presents a Nu-ish Gilmore Girls (maybe), and Snowfall returns.

Age of Samurai: Battle for Japan (Netflix, 3 a.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. The docuseries will explore the warring kingdoms of feudal Japan when several powerful warlords fought to become absolute ruler.

Canine Intervention (Netflix, 3 a.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. No dog, no breed, no behavior is unfixable for Cali K9's Jas Leverette. There is already opposition to this show because the trainer has used some abusive methods and the show seems exploitive to dogs in dire need.

Design Star: Next Gen (Discovery+, 3 a.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. A revival of HGTV Design Star. Eight finalists who are designers, renovators and social media brand-builders compete in weekly challenges to win the once-in-a-lifetime prize of $50,000 and their very own HGTV show.✔️

Ginny & Georgia (Netflix, 3 a.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. Ginny Miller, an angsty 15-year-old, often feels more mature than her 30-year-old mother, the irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller. This is supposedly the second-coming of Gilmore Girls.✔️

⭐ Nova (PBS, 9 p.m.): NASA launches the Mars 2020 Mission to search for signs of life on Mars. The mission marks the first time a rover will land in Jezero Crater, an ancient river delta known to be one of the most dangerous areas for a spacecraft to land.

Sistas (BET, 9 p.m.): Zac believes he is being framed. Preston invites a guest to Danni's house without informing her. Andi takes a chance and goes against the wise counsel of her dear friends.
