What's On Tonight (Sunday): A Middle-earth gold rush

The Luminaries

Onward! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, February 21!

Tonight, we go to Middle-earth on Earth for an adaptation based on Eleanor Catton's 2013 novel. In 1860s New Zealand, there is a gold rush in the west and everyone is flocking to them thar hills. In the process, there's murder, love, and revenge. The reviews for this 6-episode miniseries are somewhat meh, but it has Eva Green. You also might recognize Eve Hewson from The Knick.

Elsewhere, Fox won't be disrupted by stupid carballs, HBO presents the big match-up of Woody Allen versus Mia Farrow, Modern Marvels is marveling again, Alice is missing memories, Hallmark is called by the Heart, furballs Great and Small need help at Christmas, Fiona Gallagher is a clip show, Bart finds a diary, Miss Scarlet & The Duke seek truth, Tekashi 6ix9ine gets documentary treatment, and the race for fast food supremacy is on.
