SSSS.Gridman (via Amino) |
It's not Godzilla! Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, February 27!
We are back to anime Top Picks! Tonight, it is the miniseries SSSS.Gridman, an okay series that takes a while to get moving. There are kaiju all around the city of Tsutsujidai. They must be stopped by the teenager YΕ«ta and a hyper agent called Gridman. The kaiju attacks are frequent and afterwards, the people have had their memories wiped and the dead are forgotten. However, YΕ«ta is putting pieces together on who's behind the attacks -- including a fellow student.
Elsewhere, Discovery of Witches meets the Queen, Apollo 11 astronauts quarantine, Tod and Buz are on the road, Oprah talks with Andra Day, and no new Attack on Titan tonight because production fell behind thanks to the Texas power crisis.

⭐ SSSS.Gridman (Adult Swim, 2:30 a.m.): "When the Tsutsujidai High School Festival is threatened, the Gridman Alliance must decide how to proceed." My biggest complaint about this show isn't necessarily the sometimes odd moving story arcs, but the occasionally long, lusty shots of the busty/curvy women of this series. These characters are in high school. (I know, anime gonna anime.)
