Jeopardy! recap for Thur., Feb. 11

 Today's contestants are:

- Stan, a virtual event producer, got some celebrity birthday greetings;

- Kate, an attorney, camped out to see a Supreme Court oral argument; and

- John, a software team lead, helped create MIT mystery hunts. John is a three-day champ with winnings of $83,800.

Very competitive contest in which all three players scored on a DD and Stan came out on top into FJ with $16,400 vs. John at $13,600 and Kate with $9,600.

DD1 - $400 - 1930s AMERICA - Accepting the Dem. nomination in 1932, FDR said, "I pledge you, I pledge myself, to" this "for the American people" (Kate won $1,600 from her leading score of $4,400.)

DD2 - $800 - THE SAME VOWEL, FRONT AND BACK - To shadow, metaphorically or celestially  (Stan won $3,000 on a true DD to tie with Kate for first place.)

DD3 - $1,600 - JUST "US" MYTHICAL FOLKS - Epimetheus gave the animals gifts like speed, strength & razor-sharp claws, leaving this brother with not much to give humans (John won $3,800 on a true DD to move into a very close third place.)

FJ - THE OSCARS - The first time an individual won 4 awards at a single ceremony was in 1954, when his wins included Best 2-Reel Short Subject

Surprisingly, only John was correct on FJ, adding $6,400 to win with $20,000 for a four-day total of $103,800.

Triple Stumper of the day: John got the right state, but was unable to provide final two words in the title of the Rob Lowe TV show "911: Lone Star".

Correct Qs: DD1 - What is "a New Deal"? DD2 - What is eclipse? DD3 - Who is Prometheus? FJ - Who was Walt Disney?
