Letterkenny (via Giphy) |
Happy Boxing Day and first day of Kwanzaa! Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, December 26!
We are off to rural Canada for tonight's Top Pick: a new season of the comedy Letterkenny. The rural, fast-paced, and adult-ish comedy about the rural folks of Letterkenny is back and the people are still just managing to get by.
Elsewhere, the Magic School Bus makes another stop, natives and the Brits are on the brink of war, Spike Spiegel and the gang cruise space, and '90s drama Promised Land gets binge treatments.
STREAMING & EARLY PRIMETIME
DNA π₯ (Netflix, 3 a.m.): A French import. "After the loss of her grandfather, MaΓ―wenn explores her heritage and her Algerian roots."
⭐ Letterkenny (Hulu, midnight): SEASON PREMIERE. It's back to the rural community of Letterkenny. In this 7-episode season, the hockey players learn about Judaism, a breastaurant opens, and Tanis starts her own energy drink. This is most definitely a show for adults, but it also isn't all that mature. The show is really good at striking that balance of rural people and not looking down at them. The large recurring cast includes a local fav: Melanie Scrofano.
The Magic School Bus Rides Again in the Zone (Netflix, 3 a.m.): The third special of the School Bus' third season.✔️
Smallfoot π₯ (Cartoon Network, 7 p.m.): A Yeti is convinced that the elusive creatures known as "humans" really do exist.
Wonder Woman πΊ (HBO Max, now): A few days ago, HBO Max added the classic superhero series starring Linda Carter as Diana Prince, the alter ego of Wonder Woman. It's both campy and wonderful.
