Totally Tunes: And You'll Sing Vita Bella

Considering the Totally Tunes about lyrics in French was kinda popular, and it's not like I have a lot of ideas in mind, I said "why not" and here's an article about music with full or partial lyrics in Italian. It's the language of love, the language of turtle-murdering plumbers, and a language I can't speak for the life of me. But hey, it sounds pretty in song.

As usual, we open this article with the song that gives this week's Totally Tunes its subtitle, a song written for a movie, which was later used in other movies, and endlessly referenced in popular culture:

Speaking of Eurovision (and that's pretty much where all my foreign-language song knowledge comes from), I can't help but to post this really fun tune of the 2017 edition, complete with a dancing gorilla onstage.

Also Italian, but from a much older edition of the contest, is this superb Nicola di Bari song.

To close, let's give the highlight to an adorable stop-motion opera man:

What's your favorite song in Italian, or with some lyrics in the language? What languages would you like to see covered in this feature?
