This Weekend in Pop Culture: December 25-27

Welcome to the Weekend in Pop Culture! Let's examine what's coming out in theaters this weekend...

Hey, we actually have movie releases! (for now)

Wonder Woman 1984
Wonder Woman returns to fight new villains in the 80s.

Promising Young Woman
A woman pretends to be drunk in bars to get men to take her home so she can teach them a lesson about how "nice" they are.

News of the World
A Civil War veteran delivers a young girl through dangerous territory in the West.

Pinocchio
Starring Roberto Benigni! No, wait, come back, it's not that one, it's a different one!

Also, what was supposed to come out this weekend was (deep breath) "The Last Duel," Ridley Scott's latest; "The Nightingale," not to be confused with the revenge film from a while back; "Respect," the Aretha Franklin biopic; and "The Tomorrow War," an alien invasion film. "Tomorrow" is now set for July, "Respect" is set for August, "Duel" in October and "Nightingale" next December.

What have you been watching?
