The Walking Dead: World Beyond |
HEY-O! Television is back! After weeks of diminishing options, especially the 10 p.m. hour, the options are plentiful. But what were you really asking for the most? Of course it was how teenagers come of age in an era of zombies. And AMC delivers with the latest Walking Dead spinoff: World Beyond. Set in Nebraska, teens who only know the zombie-infested world are ready to grow up and make their mark — good and bad.
Elsewhere, the Whisperer War ends, Ethan Hawke is John Brown, The Comedy Store gets docuseries treatment, Imelda Staunton's kids aren't happy she is in love, CNN documents the lives of the First Ladies, the Brits go into solar storm chaos, Black-ish does an election VSE, and Pandora and Primal are back.
We're going streaking, here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, October 4!

Old School (CBS Sunday Night Movies) π₯ (CBS, 9:30 p.m.): Three friends attempt to recapture their glory days by opening up a fraternity near their alma mater. It's an okay movie.

Flesh and Blood (PBS, 9 p.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. "Lives of three siblings are disrupted when their recently widowed mother declares she's in love with a new man. Follow Your Heart π₯ (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, 9 p.m.): This one stars Galadriel Stineman, who I know as Cassidy from The Middle. The best person Axl dated! She was great and while I generally don't like how so many ABC teen characters end up getting stuck with their first love, Cassidy is one that I could've supported, but she and Axl were quite different, which probably wouldn't have been great into adulthood.
The Good Lord Bird (Showtime, 9 p.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. A young slave living in the Kansas territory in 1856 has a fateful run-in with abolitionist John Brown, who frees him and nicknames him Onion.✔️

The Walking Dead (AMC, 9 p.m.): SEASON FINALE. "Beta engages the final battle of the Whisperer War." Whisperer War sounds like something our Whistler should lead. Or it is the subject of a Ying Yang Twins song.
