What the hell is this?

I tend to leave BBC America on in the background for much of the day. Unfortunately they no longer have the rights for Doctor Who reruns but now they start the day with the best Star Trek before switching over to the next best one.

Apparently someone is convinced that nerds and geeks are reproducing and raising girly girls. Otherwise I have no explanation for why I'm being plagued with commercials for dolls that poop butterflies.

I have no idea how to even quantify these ads because they are clearly aimed at tiny children. I assume they are effective - if only because they are still running. They are shiny and bright and constantly moving and speaking of moving those dolls' bowels are moving. That's gonna make those kids say "EW!" but they'll probably be fascinated.

My only question is why I have to see this in my geek haven?
