Totally Tunes: He Drinks a Whiskey Drink, He Drinks a Vodka Drink

Pretty much all of life needs to drink in order to survive. Usually it's water, but I've heard of people who sustain on Mountain Dew, and even though it's concerning, it's a beverage and that's fine. As you can imagine, this makes drinks be one of the hot topics in music, especially country music, who apparently can't exist without booze-related tunes. In this article and its comments, it's encouraged to discuss songs that are about drinking all sorts of beverages.

I'm gonna start this with an absolutely nuts Eurovision song, whose lyrics are in Greek except for the chorus, which is "alcohol, alcohol, alcohol is free!". Mind you, this track came right in time for the Greek economic crisis, which made it even funnier.

If we're discussing alcohol, there isn't a better drinking song, at least in my book, than this downright silly Garth Brooks tune. Hurry up and listen to it before Chris Gaines gets it out of YouTube!

All this talk about drinking alcohol, and yet we're not counting songs that talk about wanting to quit it!

Back in 1967, Neil Diamond wrote a melancholic song about drowning oneself in wine, which for some reason ended up being covered in all sorts of music styles. One of those covers was the inspiration for THE cover of the song, to the point in which most people don't know it was written by Diamond.

Speaking of wine, and seeing as it's mandatory to have a Bowie OR Elton John track on a Totally Tunes article, I'm gonna go ahead and include this cheeky tune:

And, as a closer, I'm gonna appeal to all of us alcohol-free fellows, and give you this absolutely adorable promotional video made by Love UK in where a teapot visits various British places, complete with a song about drinking tea playing throughout the pot's journey.

Now, what's your favorite song about drinking? Have I gotten "Tubthumping" stuck on you thanks to the article's title?
