What's On Tonight (Saturday): Moon bound and down, loaded up and interstellar truckin'

Syfy's animated series Dallas & Robo
Dallas and Robo

Hi! Tonight's Top Pick is the Syfy premiere of the animated comedy Dallas & Robo, which was originally released in 2018 via YouTube. The series is about space trucker Dallas (Kat Dennings) and her cowboy robot Robo (John Cena) as they travel the universe and get into wacky situations, like the dangers of cannibal bikers, rival space truckers and vending machine burritos. Hey, the girls gotta eat.

Elsewhere, a security guard is accused of the 1996 Olympics bombing, Big City Greens does a flashback, the Tramp helps a blind girl, Jodi Arias gets a followup documentary, Hell Den comes to Syfy, and Cyanide & Happiness is back.

And hey, let's be careful out there, here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, August 8!

The show, starring the voices of Kat Dennings and Jon Cena, is two years old, but it's new to Syfy. Maybe it'll order more episodes if it's successful. The supporting cast includes the voice boxes of Stephen Root, Tim Blake Nelson, Milana Vayntrub, and Dana Snyder.

Hell Den (Syfy, 1:12 a.m.): "Hell Den mixes original animation and re-dubbed cartoons in a deliciously warped and hilarious brew of social satire, musical parody, and old-fashioned juvenile humor."
