Anyone think baseball can hold it together for an abbreviated season?

I did not want another Brewer's story and this really isn't about them as much as the Cardinals. A few players and staff tested positive for COVID and the series was delayed. If we keep pretending that we'll make these games up later then the World Series will take place during Spring Training. [WTMJ]

PAC-12 football players are threatening to strike if their reasonable demands aren't met. The NCAA isn't known for being any more reasonable than the NFL but no players means no games means no money. This could be good for other conferences as well and the players are demanding fair treatment in all sports, not just football. [CBS]

The fights are dominating the headlines with the return of hockey, but let's take a moment to appreciate something unexpected from the whitest sport this side of lacrosse. Matt Dumba of the Minnesota Wild became the fist NHL player to take a knee during the US national anthem, with support from Malcolm Subban of the Blackhawks and Darnell Nurse of the Oilers. [CNN]
