What's On Tonight (Friday): 'Radioactive' - About Marie Curie - Debuts

Its The Curies--WE MUST FLEE!!!! This biopic starring Rosamund Pike debuts on Amazon and originally premiered at Cannes too. Well its something to watch this weekend I guess....This Is What's On for Friday July 24th 2020.

Radioactive (Amazon Prime): Directed by Marjane Satrapi and starring Ms. Pike, this film you just know had to have been conceived with Oscar glory in mind. Will it get her another Oscar Nod? You be the judge tonight!!! (Sam Riley plays her husband)

Jim Gaffigan--The Pale Tourist (Amazon Prime): New stand up special from the comedian (!!!)

Rogue Trip (Disney Plus): New series looks to be a travel series about exploring places in the world off the beaten path that is unlikely to have been seen by many tourists in the past. (We'll see about that show!)

Animal Crackers (Netflix): New Animated Film about a family who would like to save a run down circus from being taken over by their evil uncle (?!?!?); Somehow this involves the use of a box of animal crackers. (?!?!?!?) Starring John Karsinki, Emily Blunt, and Danny DeVito as well as Ian McKellen, and Sylvester Stallone (?!?!?!?)  (Stallone's involvement means i'm gonna have to watch this now doesn't it)

The Kissing Booth 2 (Netflix): Sequel to their 2018 film (which I've never heard of) is about "After a romantic year together, Noah is off to Harvard, and Elle heads back to high school for senior year" (Joey King plays Elle, and Molly Ringwald plays Noah's mom!)

Offering To the Storm (Netflix): Spanish language movie about Amaia investigates suspicious infant deaths and horrific rituals in Part 3 of the Baztan Trilogy (????)

Central Park (Apple TV): And finally we have the usual weekly installment here--this time it is the 10th episode of this animated show from the creator of Bob's Burgers. (When Will It Achieve Top Pick Status??? Only Time Will Tell!!!)

Magnum PI (CBS): Part 2 of that pretty solid Hawaii 5-0/Magnum cross-over gets rerun here (but without Part 1 also getting rerun?!?!?!?) (Apparently so) (There's some good banter in here for whatever its worth--i quite liked that one scene of MacGarrett in the car with Magnum, Rick, and TC--and Rick and TC are all in awe because they've heard many tales, and Magnum is like "Pshhh he's not that great you guys!")

Great Performances (PBS): Rebroadcast of a televised showing of Broadway show "She Loves Me" starring Laura Benanti, Zachary Levi, and Jane Krakowski.  (Franko saw this show during one of his NYC visits!!!)

Sydney To the Max (Disney): She tries to help Olive stand up to her brothers (good luck Sydney???)

Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives (Food): Celeb chefs include Alex Guarnaschelli, Brooke Williamson, Beau McMillian (and wife), and G Gram(???)They all show us their best dishes via Zoom.

Dead Files (Travel): Lake Jackson Texas, and then to Richland Heights Ohio

Dino Hunters (Discovery): The verdict is in :Nano or T-Rex? (is there a third option by any chance?)

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): He wins a weekend trip for 2 to Vegas, and then Carter ends up striking it rich at the craps table. (Nice!!!)

Room 104 (HBO): Returning for its 4th season (really?!?!? 4th???) is this anthology show of mysterious tales all taking place in this one hotel room. On tonight's episode 2 brothers try to gather 4 friends for an intimate performance by the enigmatic long lost musician Graham Husker, but per Graham's very specific set of instructions. (That sounds mysterious!) (Logan Miller and exec producer Mark Duplass star on tonight's episode)
