What's On Tonight (Thursday): The Vagrant Queen Finally Achieves Top Pick

Via Pinterest

Hello All....The Syfy Canadian Imported Space Set Show "Vagrant Queen" gets tonight's Top Pick as it finishes up its first season, and while I have yet to actually see it, I know Amadeus has been watching it pretty regularly and says its gotten a lot better since its less than stellar premiere episode. This is What's On for June 4th 2020

Streaming

The Thomas John Experience (CBS All Acess): New show about a guy who claims to be a psychic medium and his journeys across America dealing with random people. (I don't know either!)

Can You Hear Me? (Netflix): French Canadian Drama about three friends in a low income housing community learning to lean on one another thru good times and bad times (and even a bear???)

Baki (Netflix): 3rd Season of this Japanese Manga show about a marital arts champion who tris to surpass his legendary martial arts champ father, 5 death row inmates apparently are all vying to take him on for some reason this season. (???)

The Clearing (Crackle): New zombie horror movie that is i think a busted low budget theatrical release goes straight to the free streaming service--It stars Liam McIntyre (whomever that is!) as a father trying to protect his young daughter while on a camping trip from well zombies I would guess.
Broadcast

Young Sheldon (CBS): Go back to the beginning of the show's 3rd season as we have Mary fretting over Sheldon's future after his mentor Dr. Sturgis had a mental breakdown and had to go seek help. Sheldon of course keeps trying to assure his mother that that's not going to happen to him, but she can't quite seem to listen to his assurances which leads them to a heart to heart in a therapist's office if i remember right??? (Is it odd that the show treats its characters a bit more seriously than its parent show did???)

Council of Dads (NBC): The Perry family and the Council all come together when Charlotte needs emergency surgery; Luly has a powerful meeting with her original adoptive parents that will end up changing her life. (That's some powerful meeting)

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? (ABC): Season Finale (This show has seasons???) finds Anderson Cooper continuing to answer questions, and Andy Cohen being the last celeb (of the current season) to try and win a million for charity. (There's no way this doesn't come back for another round of episodes next winter/spring right? I mean it did better than a fair amount of ABC's scripted programming did this past season so one would assume that it would be back easy peasy.)

Celebrity Watch Party (FOX): What show will the "celebs" all be watching together this week??? Your guess is as good as mine as no synopsis was provided! (Maybe it'll be "Wings") (Why not Wings??? I liked Wings--Who didn't like Wings?!?!?!?)

Burden of Truth (The CW): After losing at the custody hearing, Joanna is desperate to help Kodie and recklessly launches an emergency challenge to the court appointed custodian; the case brings Billy face to face with the last person he ever wanted to see. (his dad???) (I love how i don't watch this show, but thanks to the episode synopsis here I feel like I do as last week's synopsis had Joanna taking on her friend's custody hearing, and here she is having lost it--thanks for saving me the time and telling me that show synopsis writers!!!)

Matching Hearts (Hallmark): As Valentine's Day nears, a matchmaker must find a match for an entrepreneur who believes that staying single is the key to success. (Prove this person wrong Gods of Hallmark! Prove them wrong!) Starring Taylor Cole, and Tim Curry. (I'm kidding, its Ryan Paevney whomever he is---could you imagine Tim Curry turning up in this tho--God that'd be great!)

8:30

Man With A Plan (CBS): Adam has trouble helping Katie prepare for her driving test; Don turns to Lowell for help trying to romance Marcy (he doesn't know how to romance his wife of the past 30 years???) (CBS!!!!)

9:00

Mom (CBS): Rerun of the time Christy had to help Marjorie prepare for her first date since her husband's passing. (That's funny cause they also did an episode this season that had her having to help Tammy prepare for her first date since getting out of jail--huh they did the same plotline for two different characters in the same season!)

Blindspot (NBC): In order to stop a terrorist group from procuring a deadly chemical weapon, the team must remember key details from their first days at the FBI; Weller worries after he gets some scary news about the health of his daughter. (The episode's title is "And My Axe!") ("AND MY AXE!!!!!!")

Holey Moley (ABC): "That Man Knows How To Ride A Weiner"---A professional author faces off with an aspiring pro golferl contestants need to ride the mechanical gopher mascot--Sir Goph--before even attempting a putt; the finalists battle it out for a chance to continue towards the grand finale. (Sir Goph?!?!?!?!?)

Labor of Love (FOX): "10 Things Kristy Likes About You" (Kristy interviews the prospective dads to be one on one)

In The Dark (The CW): Murphy convinces Jess to help with a drug mission; Felix finds himself in a legal predicament; Dean's partner Gene begins showing some real talent on the job giving Dean a lead that could unravel Murphy's plans. (Damnit Dean Why Are You Always Getting In Murphy's Way--Every Single Time!!!!)

Mountain Men (History): This reality show has its 8th season premiere tonight with 2 back to back episodes---first up "Jake's first lion hunt ends in a near deadly confrontation; Tom and Nancy face a surge in the local coyote population; Jason comes face to face with a marauding black bear; and Mike fights predators. (I'm guessing of the animal and not human variety) Ohhh them wacky Mountain Men

Restaurant Impossible (Food): T. Phillips Alehouse and Grill in Glendora California--a restaurant that looks more like a dive bar than a restaurant. Can it be spruced up to look nice for customers??? (Well if Moe's Tavern can become Uncle Moe's Family Feedbag--Anything's possible!)

Ghost Adventures (Travel): Tinseltown Terror finds Zach and the gang taking on Hollywood spirits.

We're Here! (HBO): Season finale of this drag queens help ordinary townspeople find their groove show. (And not as i keep wanting to say--A Dinosaur Story)

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Gomer befriends what he feels is a kindred spirit when he meets a country boy from back home in his unit.

9:30

Broke (CBS): When Sammy's big idea for his school project fails, his family stays up all night long to help him; Jackie and Barry (who's still around and played by Kyle Bornheimer!) argue over their different parenting styles' Javier and Elizabeth argue about how to plan financially for their future. (Wasn't it their failure to do that that literally gave the show its title???)

Green Acres (MeTV): Lisa raises objections over Oliver's choice of a bell for Eleanor. (Hmmm)

10:00

SWAT (CBS): Pretty cool rerun episode has thieves stealing a high tech thermal lance and then using said lance in a jewel heist if i remember right. (Sometimes they manage to have a memorable ep!)

Law and Order Special Victims Unit (NBC): The squad joins an undercover task force in busing a human trafficking ring in Chinatown. (Forget It Benson...)

To Tell the Truth (ABC): Jason Alexander, Dermot Mulroney, Amanda Seales, and Abbi Jacobson all are on the panel this week. (I can't wait to see what Dermot Mulroney's lie is gonna be.) (Its totally gonna be that he's emmy award winning actor Dylan McDermott!!!!) (Or maybe that'll be his truth--"I'm Not Dylan McDermott!") ("Are you Dermot Mulroney???") ("Damnit I did not think that one thru!")

Top Chef (Bravo): The Final 5 travel to Italy where the chefs there must make an aperitif for 30 locals from the town of Lucca that pairs perfectly with a Peroni beer; than they must hunt for a white truffle which they must use in a dish for a Tuscon food festival. (This sounds like a lot for an hour!)

Impractical Jokers (Tru TV): "Dinner Party Show Part 3" Determining how long it has been since their host has showered.  (This isn't as easy as you think it would be since everyone's in quarantine soo smelling them isn't an option)

Mountain Men (History): Eustance and Raleigh try to restore an antique buzz saw. (I didn't know there were antique buzz saws!)

Portals To Hell (Travel): The Cary House Hotel.

Summer Rush (Food): New series premieres!!!! Will it be a perennial or short lived??? Only time will tell!!!

10:30

The Misery Index (TBS): "The Grandmas' Special" Learning what happens when a young bull charges and what bodily functions make a girl lose 10 years of memories. (Jeebus!!!)

11:00

Vagrant Queen (Syfy): Finally Top Pick Of The Night goes to this space show that is wrapping up its first season tonight. Dunno if it will get a 2nd season as its entirely up to one of the channels up north, but if it comes back, I'd assume Syfy would still run it--i mean they get these shows for a song from what I understand so ratings probably don't matter as much, which is good cause ratings for this were disappointing for Syfy whom had clearly hoped this could be the next beloved cult fanboy show for them after Winona Earp and Killjoys and Lost Girl over the past several years.... Anyways tonight's episode is Part 2 of a two part episode titled "All Old Things Must Pass" and finds "With Arriopa in chaos, Elida makes a final push to stop Lazaro but a shocking new threat emerges." (nods)

HAPPY THURSDAY EVERYONE!!!! HAPPY THURSDAY!!!! FOR RELAXING THURSDAY---(Holds Calendar Close To Face)---MAKE IT SANTORI THURSDAY!!!! (ITS A "LOST IN TRANSLATION" REFERENCE PEOPLE!!!!)
