Via Giphy
Hello Everybody Out There In Television Land! Tonight Top Pick Top Chef Tops Its Top Chef For the 17th Time Tops! I hope everyone's well, this is What's On for June 18th 2020.

Streaming

Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi (Hulu): New series starring the Top Chef judge!

Karma (HBO MAX): New series

Cleain' Up the Town--Remembering Ghostbusters (Crackle): A retrospect about Ghostbusters???? Isn't that like what the internet is for????

The Order (Netflix): Second Season Premiere--A university student joins a secret society--The Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose---he is thrust into a world of magic, monsters, and intrigue, and on this season he must fight to avenge the death of his mom by landing in the middle of a way between magicians and werewolves. (Why would they be at war???) (I don't know where to begin with this premise, but its an English language show which makes me wonder how I never heard of it before cause i'm usually pretty good at keeping up with their American made stuff for the most part)

A Whisker Away (Netflix): New movie from the streaming service about "A Girl Transforms Into A Cat" (Its a new anime btw)

Broadcast

Young Sheldon (CBS): Rerun Parade continues on as this show has a rerun from October that has the title character wanting to go to a lecture being given far, far away and no one willing to drive him to it, so he contrives a plan to get his grandma to take him only to end up getting spanked by her. (Ha! Bazinga!) (No but he does actually get spanked by her and it sets off a whole thing between his grandma and his mom)

Council of Dads (NBC): Robin and the Council agree to tell Luly a shocking truth; Oliver and Peter finally decide to adopt but learn some shocking news about the child's birth mother along the way; Robin finds herself falling for Sam despite the chaos in her life. (What kind of chaos exactly???)

Holey Moley (ABC): "Where the Herd At?" (John Herd??)

Celebrity Watch Party (FOX): This week the celebs watch---I have no idea what....maybe A Different World???

Burden of Proof (The CW): Joanna and Billy investigate the Milkwood Family Services; they discover a potential error in the long awaited custody hearing where evidence that could turn the entire case around gets unearthed. (It Could Turn The Entire Case Around!!!!)

Gordon Ramsey--Unearthed (Nat Geo): Laos: Off the Menu!

You're Bacon Me Crazy (Hallmark): The instantly iconic Hallmark film from earlier this year reruns here tonight. (Ohh You're Bacon Me Crazy Hallmark Channel)

8:30

Man With A Plan (CBS): Tentatively scheduled here is a rerun of this now cancelled sitcom, but I would not be surprised if its get bumped by a rerun of another episode of like Young Sheldon or something since the network does not have a habit of rerunning shows they just cancelled. (tho it'd be pretty great if they would rerun an episode of this!)

9:00

Mom (CBS): Rerun of that time there was an unlikely Third Rock From the Sun mini-reunion as Tammy (played by Kristen Johnson) ends up hooking up with Chef Rudy (played by French Stewart) and Christy (friend to Tammy, and co-worker of Chef Rudy's) gets caught in the middle of their attempt at romance.

Blindspot (NBC): When Ice Cream, the Icelandic fixer returns to collect his debt, the team is forced into competing into a life and death race around the world to solve a series of puzzles and recover the infamous stolen Gardner paintings. (An Icelandic Fixer named Ice Cream??? Ohh Blindspot, I'm gonna miss you sooo much!!!)

Don't (ABC): A blended family from LA shows off their upside down baseball catch as well as their  tug of war rope pulling abilities and their fire extinguishing skills. (Huh that's uh something to see I guess) The episode is titled "Don't Move In With Your Parents" (Too Late!!!)

Labor of Love (FOX): In this begotten reality contest that seemingly no one is watching---Can the guys survive giving birth in a labor simulation??? (Oy)

In The Dark (The CW): Murphy and Felix attempt to execute the plans to end their arrangement with Nic finding himself in dire consequences; Dean seeks the help of a former colleague with a case he's working on. (In The Dark, da-da-da, In The Dark....and oh what heights we'll hit...On with the show...In The Daaaaaaarrrrk...Yeah!)

Ghost Adventures (Travel): Quarantined in a haunted museum. (I wish I was making this up!)

Mountain Men (History): Beasts of Burden (I'll Never Beeeee Your Mountain Maannnn....)

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): He dates a movie star! (Sweet!)

9:30

Broke (CBS): Luis's dad who works for Javier's dad comes to town to find out how Javier is handling being cut off financially; Liz agrees to help Jackie on a job and runs into an ex boyfriend and does not how to handle the situation. (Well i mean you're married to Javier sooo you should probably lead with that) Also Cheech Marin Guest Stars!!!!! (CHEEEEEEEEEECCCCHHHHH!!!!)

Green Acres (MeTV): A new young lawyer wants to be partners with Oliver, and a prospect excites Lisa to no great end. (ooook)

10:00

SWAT (CBS): Rerun of that time their old team leader (and one of Hondo's mentors) Buck goes missing and the team has to track him down because Hondo fears the worst. (Buck's been in kind of a bad way in recent months) (Buck is also played by the great guest actor Louis Ferreira--whom is Canadian and has seemingly guest starred on every single prime time drama on the air currently!) (In fact at the same time he was recurring on SWAT, he was also recurring on timeslot companion SEAL Team as a psychiatrist David Boreanaz was seeing to try and get his head on straight)

Law and Order Special Victims Unit (NBC): Rerun of that time guest star Ariel Winter was raped and Benson goes one on one in a series of interviews with her to help her recreate what happened so as to get a description of the perp. (I actually saw this one--its a very actorly intensive episode--but she's not bad on it! I could see her getting an emmy nod for guest actress in a drama for it quite possibly)

To Tell the Truth (ABC): Tonight's guest panel includes Jeanine Mai; Craig Robinson; Bobby Moynihan; and Megan Good. (Sounds um Good??? Megan Good!)

Top Chef (Bravo): Top Pick of the night goes to this venerable reality competition which caps off its 17th season tonight with "The final 3 all stars facing off in an epic showdown to cook the mean of their lives in an effort to take home the ultimate title and prize" (Do they get a plaque or something???)

The Bold Type (Freeform): A blizzard hits NYC; and Kat is trapped at her new job with her nemesis; Sutton struggles to balance her career and relationship; Jane tries to emulate Jacqueline's leadership with her new staff; Oliver comes face to face with his ex. (nods) (You Go Bold Type!!!!)

Alone (History): Surviving in the Arctic for 100 days; they start building rock shelters! (You Go Rock Shelters!!!)

Destination Fear (Travel): "Behind the Screams" Its a behind the scenes look episode!

Summer Rush (Food): Travers Stakes House in Saratoga Springs, NY (that's upstate right in the Lake George area --I know because i used to spend a week there with my dad every August as a kid and a teenager)

Impractical Jokers (Tru TV): Dinner Party Show 4

10:30

The Misery Index (TBS): "Send In The Clowns"---A moped crash would make Wile. E. Coyote proud; a big family surprise for one of the Jokers; Murr makes a very big bet; the contestants get super competitive (aren't they always?) as they battle one another for 30 thousand dollars. (Sweet!) (Oh also--"they're already heeeeerrrrrrreeeeee")
