What's On Tonight (Friday): "Trackers" Tracks Down Some Thrills For A Friday Night

Via Giphy

Hello One and All, Tonight the Top Pick on a night where there's not even a decent Streaming option to go with goes to the 4th episode of this South African set action show that Cinemax picked up and started showing on Friday nights a couple weeks back now. It sounds like it could be cool in theory weaving together ongoing plotlines involving organized crime, diamond smuggling, and combating international terrorism. I havn't seen it, but I like the oddball plot synopsis I've been typing up for it here. It seems like you could do worse on a slow Friday night in the summer. This is What's On for June 26th 2020.

Streaming

Eurovision Song Contest--The Story of Fire Saga (NETFLIX): Remember how I said that this was a slow night in terms of streaming options---its specifically because THIS was the top Netflix offering for this night. An offering that only Whistler would dare to refuse, and from what I think I read the last time she was here was that she already has refused it???

Twogether (NETFLIX): A new Korean language soap opera premieres. (You know who you are who can't get enough of these kinds of things---I won't judge because have you seen the crap that I like???)

Home Game (NETFLIX): A new documentary series profiling "unique and traditional" sports from around the world. (So like local sporting activities and the like from various places internationally)

Amar Y Vivir (NETFLIX): New Spanish Language show premiering tonight as well.

Pete The Cat (AMAZON): 2nd season reboot of this children's show based on the series of bestselling children's books.

Central Park (Apple Plus): New episode (The 6th episode to be exact) of this new animated show from the creator of Bob's Burgers about various eccentric employees of the Central Park Zoo. At some point I will end up making this one Top Pick (in fact i thought about it just now) but I might try and save it for its finale, tho that'll be a little while as the show produced 13 episodes. This show was also recently renewed for two more seasons of 13 episodes each--so it'll be with us for a good little while it seems like. (So I hope its good, it looks very Bob's Burgers esque based on the ads i keep seeing for it which is a plus!)

Broadcast

47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards (CBS):  Two hour broadcast of well the Daytime Emmy Awards displacing the usual Friday night rerun lineup of MacGyver and Magnum PI here. Do You Think Susan Lucci Will Finally Win One of These??? This Could Be Her Year (Fingers Crossed!!!)

World of Dance (NBC): Rerun of Tuesday night's episode

Shark Tank (ABC): Rerun

Friday Night Smackdown (FOX): HOCKEYMIKE--ITS YOUR WEEKLY REMINDER THAT ITS FRIDAY!!!! (If I get desperate enough, this could actually end up being Top Pick one Friday, but boy there'd have to be literally nothing else on worth noting for that to happen) (I briefly considered doing that just now but then thought, "No I Can Find Something Damnit!")

Masters of Illusions (The CW) "Laughter, Levitation, and Lies" (Oh My!) is the episode's title tonight

RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Edition (VH1): The 4th episode of the season!

Sydney To the Max (Disney): "Sing It On" (is the episode's title)

9:00

Great Performances (PBS): "Gloria-A Life"---Tonight Christine Lahti stars in a two hour taped from a Broadway production of a show about Gloria Steinem. Will it be good? Well it could be--Lahti is a powerhouse of an actress at times!

20/20 (ABC):

Whose Line? (The CW): RERUNS!!!

Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives (FOOD): Returning for new episodes after a two week absence! (Its ok to miss a week here and there Guy Fieri and co! The country is slowly but surely re-opening here)

Gomer Pyle (MeTV):

9:30

Green Acres (MeTV):

10:00

Blue Bloods (CBS): RERUN!

Dateline (NBC):

Pose-Pose-A-Thon For Pride Month (FX and Freeform): Special one hour edition in which the cast and crew of Pose talk about Pride, what it means to them, and try to raise money for Pride Awareness, I think.

Trackers (CINEMAX): Top Pick of the night goes to this imported action show from (again) South Africa and on tonight's episode "Janina Mentz interrogates Milla; Lemmer helps Flea with the diamond drop; Shahid's laptop gives Daoud's position away" (Was this worth making Top Pick tonight?? Well now that you've seen the other options for the night--You Tell Me!!!!)

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND ONE AND ALL, AND I'LL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE--OF THE WEEKEND THAT IS!!! (What'd You Think I Meant By That???)
