What's On Tonight (Tuesday): "Legends of Tomorrow" Does A Lot of TV Parodies

Via Giphy

Yes I'm doing Legends of Tomorrow for a 2nd week in a row, what else am i gonna pick--That Ulysses S Grant Miniseries Again??? (Well you could do The Last O.G. which continues to have new episodes there Matthew) (There's always next week I guess) This is What's On for May 26th 2020

8:00

NCIS (CBS): Rerun of that time that Kasie and Jimmy Palmer are held hostage at the diner by jewel thieves. (Its actually a pretty tense episode--very Dog Day Afternoon-ish, the way that Kasie and Palmer manage to get themselves out of there is pretty clever too) (oh right CBS!)

America's Got Talent (NBC): New Season of this venerable summer staple starts up tonight! NBC's undoubtedly happy because it means they finally have something to actually program on the night and no longer have to make do on the night with reruns of Ellen's Game of Games and Corona Virus Special Report Updates.

Hell's Kitchen (FOX): Meanwhile Fox is stuck rerunning a season of this show that already aired in Fall of 2017!  (They gotta air something on the night right?)

The Conners (ABC): Becky and Jackie wanna re-open The Lunchbox but Darlene whom had been given the authority over it by her grandma doesn't think it would be profitable which sparks a huge gigantic fight between everyone unfortunately. (Ahh the joys of summer reruns!) This is followed at 8:30 by the Thanksgiving episode which saw all the tensions from this episode boil over with Jackie actually slapping Darlene on the face because of some really insulting remarks she makes and Jackie reacts without thinking which sparks a very teary apology. (It was well acted, but more than a little melodramatic)

Stargirl (The CW): After Courney has an unexpected run in with a member of the Injustice Society of America, Pat reveal the truth to her about their history; Barbra is elated when she sees Courney making an attempt to get along with Pat. (The episode is called S.T.R.I.P.E. which is probably not an origin story of the classic Bill Murray movie)

Finding Your Roots (PBS): Jeff Goldblum, Terry Gross, and Marc Maron all get their ancestry traced in a rerun from January.

Autumn Dreams (Hallmark): A couple who got married spontaneously years ago discovers that they are still married some years after getting it annulled. Ruh-Roh. Starring Jill Wagner and Colin Egglesfield.

9:00

FBI (CBS): Rerun of that time a well known attorney is found dead next to the body of an escort, the team must find out if there's a connection between the two or if it was just a case of bad luck. (Dun Dun) (I know its not "Law and Order" but it honestly might as well be since it has all the beats of a Dick Wolf procedural)

Modern Family (ABC): Rerun of that time the families went to Paris because they mistakenly believe that Al Bundy is being honored for his lifetime of work (its actually his one time partner turned nemesis being honored--RIP frequent guest star Jon Polito!!!!! This was actually the show's way of saying goodbye to him too)

Legends of Tomorrow (The CW): Top Pick of the Night goes once again to this fun show which tonight has its characters disguised as various tv show characters in what looks to be a fun gimmick for the night. "After Charlies does the one thing that goes against her nature when it comes to her sisters, she tries to protect the Legends by scattering them in different tv shows." (The episode is literally called "The One Where We're Trapped On TV")

Viral-Anti-Semitism In Four Mountains (PBS): New doc explores the resurgence of well anti-semitism in the world over the past several years. (But really had it ever actually gone away???) (Well it wasn't as blatantly out in the open here in the U.S.A for a good while there so kind of???)

Grant Part 2 (History): Picking up where last night's epic first part on the life and times of Ulysses S Grant left off---we get yet a 2nd fun filled night of Grantastic Action! (I tried to jazz it up as best I could)

Chopped (Food): A Pork themed night (ooh!) and they also have to deal with a Bloody Mary with a special surprise ingredient. (is it Pork related???)

Ghost Adventures (Travel): a 130 year old jail in South Carolina housed what is thought to be the first known case of a female serial killer. (But given human history probably wasn't the very first because i mean what would be the odds of that right?)

Drain (Nat Geo): "Pirate Ships of the Caribbean"

Deadliest Catch (Discovery):

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Duke wins a talent contest at Sgt. Carter's expense. (Shazam)

9:30

Modern Family (ABC): Say goodbye to Fred Willard one last time as this show reruns the very last episode that he guest starred on as Phil goes to visit his dad because he's worried about his health. (Awww) Its kinda bittersweet now that we know that Willard himself apparently wasn't in the best of health when he made this!

Green Acres (MeTV): Oliver and Lisa take Arnold to Hollywood for a screen test. (This is like one of their best known episodes yes???)

10:00

FBI's Most Wanted (CBS): Rerun of that time the team had to track down a Bonnie and Clyde like duo who are on a kill happy crime spree. (sighs) (I mean CBS!)

World of Dance (NBC): This Jennifer Lopez judged (and produced) summertime staple also returns for a new cycle. My 7 year old nephew is pumped cause he for some reason really likes this show. Why? I have no idea but I'm not gonna judge--have you seen what I get excited by???

The Genetic Detective (ABC): This was supposed to premiere last week but got bumped from the schedule for a week for some reason. (ABC is as excited to air this one as you are to read about it!) Its a new summertime procedural mystery that I believe is a Canadian show being burnt off. (Its Vancouver set which would be a tip-off) Its about a medical examiner I think??? (I actually don't know but I'm excited to find out because I do love me some summertime scripted filler!) (I really do actually)

Tirdy Works (Tru TV): Mary tries to target the billion dollar cannabis industry for investors, and then she tries to save a historic community theater in Pittsfield that sees her doing some stand up comedy. (Is she a comedian???)

Supermarket Stakeout (Food):

Kingdom of the Mummies (Travel): "The Broken Seal"

10:30

The Last O.G. (TBS): Tray is convinced that his mother's younger boyfriend Carl is cheating on her and goes out of his way to prove it by catching him in the act. (I hope he's wrong about this cause Tray's mom deserves some love in her life!)

Frontline (PBS): Rerun of "The Last Survivors" which tracks down some of the last Holocaust survivors. (Again cheery stuff for summertime programming!)

HAVE A GOOD TUESDAY---MAY THE NOBLE SPIRIT OF TUESDAY FILL US ALL UP WITH MERRIMENT AND WONDER!!!!
