What's On Tonight (Tuesday): "For Life" wraps up its season--and quite possibly also its life!

Hello everybody! Tonight in addition to For Life we also have the season finale of The Flash on tap which is as per usual an unplanned season finale so I'm assuming we'll have to wait a little while longer to get some closure on the ongoing storylines happening there--or maybe we'll get lucky perhaps???? Tuesday night companion show Legends of Tomorrow meanwhile actually got to finish shooting their season (and that show's finale will air next week) so see its not all doom and gloom in The CWverse! Anyways This is What's On for Tuesday May 12th 2020

Streaming:

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt--Kimmy Vs the Reverend (Netflix): Netflix comedy comes back for a special encore episode in which the titular character fights the Reverend! (Fight The Power....Fight The Powers That Be...Kimmy!)

Broadcast:

8:00

NCIS (CBS): Rerun of that time Gibbs' friend Don Lake was found to be involved with the primary suspect in the team's latest case--A JAG lawyer who also is the ex girlfriend of the team's latest murder victim, and she is also found to have been involved with another man who turned up dead. Is Gibbs' friend whom she is currently dating next?  (Daphne Zuniga played the JAG lawyer!!!!)

The Voice (NBC): The Top 9 Results Show!

The Happy Days of Garry Marshall (ABC): Two hour star studded primetime tribute show to the creator of many beloved sitcoms and the director of many beloved movies with interviews with Julie Andrews, Richard Gere, Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson among numerous others. (Remember when Gary had that recurring role as the network president on Murphy Brown??? I think as a kid that was my introduction to him, and since that was before i knew he was responsible for The Odd Couple and Happy Days--both shows i knew quite well as a kid--i think i knew him first as that continually angry guy from Murphy Brown with the killer one liners!)

24 Hours To Hell and Back (FOX): Revisiting 3 different businesses in Ellicott City Maryland after flooding damage caused them all to close in 2016. (nods) This for some reason is two hours long!

The Flash (The CW): Tonight's season finale titled "Success Is Assured" (Is it???) finds Barry considering a risky plan to save Iris from the Mirrorverse; while Ralph attempts to stop Sue from making a grave mistake that could destroy her life. (God Speed Flash---I sincerely hope you can save Iris from the Mirrorverse by the end of tonight's episode, cause I really don't wanna have to be stuck with this plotline again next fall or winter or whenever the shows return!)

Asian Americans (PBS): Fighting for equality both in the fields, on the campuses, and in the culture, while new immigrants wage war on refugees and expand the definition of what being an Asian American even means in this day and age. (Nods)

Surprised By Love (Hallmark): You Hallmark Channel Movie of the night is this 2015 one where "A young business woman must convince her parents to accept her boyfriend but then falls for an old high school flame" (Kinda sucks for the boyfriend I guess) Starring Hillarie Burton, Paul W Campbell, and Tim Conway (and yes this has been listed before!)

9:00

FBI (CBS): Rerun of an episode from January that involves a businessman turning up dead who had many sexual harassment complaints levied against him, could one of the accusers be the murderer??? (Wouldn't that be too easy for the FBI agents if it was???)

Ellen's Game of Games (NBC): A new episode titled "Do You believe In Life After Suds?" (I Do?)

Legends of Tomorrow (The CW): The team finds themselves going back to college and forming a society in order to try and retrieve an ancient artifact (a society???); Nate falls under Dion's spell letting him know of Sara, Astra, Ava, and Charlie's plan to get the cup. (Dion's spell is literally just "The Wanderer"played over and over and over again)("I roam around around around around around...") (NOT THE SEASON FINALE--THAT'S APPARENTLY NEXT WEEK!!!!)

Lost Gold of WW2 (History): A promising clue at Branch 6 leads Rick to believe that they are on the right track (nods); John hits a roadblock; and Bongo makes an incredible discovery that could lead him to the treasure maps. (Bongo?!?!?!?)

Chopped (Food): The current "Beat the Judges" season continues as contestants try to beat judge Maneet. There's a sugary cereal treat and oddball meatballs in the appetizer basket; and an edible centerpiece in the entree basket.

Ghost Adventures (Travel): Transylvania is where the team on this show goes to try and meet up with the spirit of Vlad the Impaler for some reason. (Why would you even want to meet Vlad the Impaler in all honesty?!?!?!?)

Egypt-A Sunken City (Nat Geo): Exploring the sunken coasts of Egypt.

Deadliest Catch (Discovery):

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Gomer is asked to sing in the Marine Talent Show but has a case of nerves. (Shazam???)

9:30

One Day At A Time (Pop): Rerun of the 2nd episode of the season which finds the cast discussing money and their relationship to it.

Green Acres (MeTV): Arnold the Pig tries to capture 2 bank robbers. (Go Pig Go!)

10:00

FBI's Most Wanted (CBS): Rerun of that time they tried to take down a cult leader. (shrugs)

New Amsterdam (NBC): Rerun of that time they did something on the "Sabbath" (that's the episode's title)

For Life (ABC): Top Pick of the night is the season finale of this show (which was actually able to film all their scheduled episodes!) "When Masbus and Cyrus try to thwart Aaron's attempt at having a retrial, Aaron is forced to try a desperate move, risking the wrath of a powerful new adversary; The election comes to a head as Safiya tries to warn Aaron that he is now a marked man."  (Well i guess that's it for "For Life" unless it can pull a rabbit out of its hat and get a renewal--which the odds are of happening i think are about 50/50 currently maybe??? Its done better than former time slot holder "Emergence" but its still a fairly marginal performer in its timeslot so who knows what ABC will do)

Asian Americans (PBS): Airing a second straight episode is this mini-series that also wraps itself up with "Asian Americans navigate their growing influence at the turn of the millennium but also what it means to be American in an increasingly polarized society" (Modern Day America!!!)

Tirdy Works (Tru TV): The team heads to a major craft show in New Hampshire to try and promote themselves. (Well why not go to a crafts show to promote yourself??? Anywhere there's people I guess is good enough to try and get your name out there)

Secrets of Skinwalker Ranch (History): The team begins to dig and reacts in different ways. (Reacting in different ways to the manual labor of digging i take it???)

Supermarket Stakeout (Food):

Ghost Nation (Travel): The House At Deadman's Curve

Kingdom of the Mummies (Nat Geo): New show somehow not related to Travel Channel's Mummy Mysteries Show---Deep beneath the Egyptian desert, archeologists find the first fully intact funeral home. (ooook)

10:30

The Last OG (TBS): When Shay finally gets a big break on her career, Tray and the family grapple with the huge changes that it will mean for them all. (If it means more money you guys should be all for it honestly)

THAT'S ALL I GOT WRITTEN DOWN HERE---HAVE A GREAT TUESDAY ONE AND ALL.
