Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (Showtime, 10 p.m.): Josefina confides in Sister Molly, who's shocked to discover Josefina is Tiago's sister. Tiago and Lewis' investigation takes them to the Vega House. Tiago confronts Mateo, but probably not the Mateo from Superstore.
⭐ Run (HBO, 10:30 p.m.): FINALE. With the end of their journey approaching, Ruby (Merritt Wever) and Billy (Domhnall Gleeson) consider their future together. Babe (Tamara Podemski) and Laurel (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) are forced together as they follow a new lead on a murder. The show started out great but didn't have many places to go without giving both characters backstories full of drama and hardship. I don't think everything worked and some parts are really uncomfortable to watch, especially Ruby talking to her husband (Rich Sommer, who also plays a man with a personal life falling apart on In the Dark). Then there's a backpack of cash, a death, and secrets that can't stay buried much longer. I find the investigation of the deceased to be really forced... and the pacing... but that's just me.
FOR THE RECORD: Beachfront Bargain Hunt (HGTV); Beat Bobby Flay (Food Network); Food Paradise (Cooking Channel); Forbidden History (History); The Killer Truth (HLN); On the Case with Paula Zahn (Investigation Discovery); Smothered (TLC, premiere)
