What's On Tonight (Sunday): All aboard Snowpiercer express, the post-apocalyptic Supertrain

Snowpiercer
Good day and welcome to the end of week 34 of the 2019-20 television season. Tonight, in this Olympic pool that is Sunday original programming there is an over-chlorination of season enders; they're everywhere. Yet there are premieres, which is how we get our Top Pick: Snowpiercer. The former TNT series, plagued with creative conflict, that moved to TBS and then back to TNT finally hits the small screen. It is a retelling of Bong Joon-ho's movie, itself based on the 1982 comic Le Transperceneige, about a giant train that circles the earth and carries the remnants of humanity. The world outside is a frozen wasteland. Think of like Supertrain but you can't get off and the poor want to oust the flashy guest stars. Elsewhere, in finales: another season of Animation Domination wraps, the Bulls plays for a sixth NBA title, Batwoman and Supergirl suit up one final time this year, the midwives help their community, America gets a new idol, Julien Baptiste stops a large human trafficking ring, Belgravia's drama finishes, and the WWII world is still on fire. In other notable highlights, Starz launches a new drama, Smithsonian drops in on the lives of the aristocracy, Aurora Teagarden solves a murder, Spider-Man swings back into action, and AFV and Hasan Minhaj are hosting from home. And I was crying on the staircase begging you "Please don't go," and I said, here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, May 17!
