What's On Tonight (Monday): The Voice Wraps Up Its Latest Cycle

Via Giphy

Hello one and all---The Voice tonight has its last handful of contestants left performing for the judges and tomorrow night a winner will be crowned, but there's another thing on tomorrow night that i would prefer to make top pick--so The Voice will get its Top Pick pick tonight instead! This is what's on for May 18th 2020

8:00

The Neighborhood (CBS): Rerun episode has a new pastor (played by King of Queens' Victor Williams!) being hired for the church but Cedric is all but certain that he's putting the moves on wife Tina after witnessing the preist's behavior towards her. (nods) Meanwhile in a B plotline Marty has had it up to here with his annoying upstairs neighbor, but then finds himself unexpectedly attracted to her. (Classic!)

The Voice (NBC): Top Pick of the night is this reality show that has pretty owned the reality genre for this past decade (tho i'm not quite sure what separates this singing show from the other super popular singing show, or that other other super popular singing show) (God does every network have one of these now??? Not CBS Thank Goodness!!!!!) Anyways tonight is Part 1 of the two night finale, with tonight focusing on the performances from the remaining contestants.

9-1-1 (FOX): Rerun of the season premiere---I guess FOX is just gonna rerun the entire third season here over the course of the summer???

The Bachelor-Listen To Your Heart (ABC): This un-successful version of the reality show staple comes to an end tonight and ABC will no doubt be happy to go back to regular versions of the show in the fall since this proved to be a bust incredibly enough. (Who knew fans of The Bachelor were so picky about what version of the show they watch???)

Penn and Teller-Try This At Home (The CW): New show hosted by Penn and Teller (Wait so they now have two shows on The CW???)

Antiques Roadshow (PBS): Little Rock rerun from Feb '16 finds a 1985 Charles Schultz Snoopy sketch, a Chinese altar garniture circa 1850 and a 1919 Faulkner first edition novel that was hand published. (interesting!)

Guy's Grocery Games (Food): Its Desert Day and 4 pastry chefs from across the country compete.

Falling For Vermont (Hallmark): Your Hallmark Channel Movie of the Evening is this one where "A best selling author who got amnesia as the result of a car accident finds refuge with the local doctor of a small town in Vermont" (So its the plot of the movie The Majestic then???) (Kinda)

8:30

Bob Hearts Abishola (CBS): Rerun of the show's early season finale that saw Dottie exploring a new friendship with a fellow stroke victim survivor and Bob trying to check in on his sister at the "wellness spa" she's attending (actually a mental health clinic but potato-potahto)

9:00

All Rise (CBS): Rerun of that time Judge Lola found out a secret about Judge Brenner who also happens to be her direct superior and must decide how to act with this new info. (This aired in March so its also a fairly recent one)

9-1-1 Lone Star (FOX): Rerun!

Roswell, New Mexico (The CW): After uncovering a cryptic message, Alex, Isobel, Nax, Michael, and Maria set out in search for answers at the reservation where Alex's mom grew up; Cameron encourages Liz to reach out to someone from her past after Auturo gets detained.

Created Equal (PBS): Two hour biography on Clarence Thomas who provides narration for his own life story. (Can you do that? Can you just provide narration for your own biography like that???)

American Pickers (History): Mike drives into dangerous territory for some gold. (shrugs)

Bakeaway Camp with Martha Stewart (Food):"Bee Happy Campers"

Beyond the Unknown (Travel): A Pharoh's deadly curse; a secret plot to sell phony art to the Nazis; a chilling premonition of the Apocalypse. (ooook)

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Opie runs away from home and meets up with Gomer on base. (Shazam Opie!)

9:30

Green Acres (MeTV): Eb gets Oliver to put him thru mail order barber school. (Well someone has to I guess!)

10:00

Bull (CBS): Rerun that finds him defending a professional gambler accused of murdering her father for a giant inheritance. (I bet Kenny Rodgers never had to deal with problems like that!) (Will Bull know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, when the trial is done???) ("You never count your money, when you're sitting in front of the jury")

Songland (NBC): Florida Georgia Line joins the judge panel on this Shark Tank but with musicians show.

The Baker and the Beauty (ABC): Noa and Daniel's worlds are turned upside down when Vanessa ignites a scandal; Noa works overtime to salvage the reputation of her company and ease tensions with her board of directors; Daniel tries to smooth things over with his family. (I got nothin for this)

American Dad (TBS): Stan and Steve enter an e-sports game tournament to save the world (so someone saw Ready Player One); the rest of the family gets stuck in a banister. (I welcome that plotline!!!)

Creepshow (AMC): Teens go trick or treating and are met with fear; Justin brings home the wrong suitcase and is shocked to discover a man living in said suitcase. (That sounds like it could be a winner!)

Mysteries at the Museum (Travel): Investigating the ancient city of Pompeii and searching for the lost tomb of Cleopatra. (Well Someone Has To!)

Pawn Stars (History): "Saints and Winners" (nods)

Amy Schumer Learns How To Cook (Food):  She continues to be educated in the art of cookery.

Almost Paradise (WGN): When Alex takes a job protecting a country singer he idolizes, he quickly learns that one should never meet one's heroes, when the singer is kidnapped however, Alex must jump into action and figure out who took the guy and why.

WELCOME TO THE WORK WEEK!!! I KNOW IT DON"T THRILL YOU, I HOPE IT DON'T KILL YOU...WELCOME TO MONDAY TV!!!!! (I KNOW THERE ISN"T MUCH ON, BUT WE'LL LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON!!!)
