What's On Tonight (Monday): "Grant" Is History Channel's New Miniseries About Ulysses S. Grant

Via Tenor

You know TV is cooking when I'm recommending a miniseries about the life and times of Ulysses S Grant. If they're calling this "Grant" then what are they gonna call their miniseries about Cary Grant? Oh the problems they havn't even thought of when they titled this one! Anyways Happy Memorial Day!!!!!!!! Eat Some Hot Dogs!!!!! This is What's On for May 25th 2020

8:00

The Neighborhood (CBS): Dave helps Cedric find out why his employees are all quitting en masse and uses his conflict management skills to help solve the problems at Cedric's autobody shop. (Good ol' CBS!)

The Titan Games (NBC): This Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson hosted reality competition show comes back to the network for a 2nd season with more competitors and more obstacles for them all. (Hold Me Closer Titan Gamesa---Count the muscles on display---Lay me down in sheets of armor--what else is even on tv todaaaayyyyy????)

9-1-1 (FOX): Rerun Fever!!!!

Celebrity Family Feud (ABC): Rerun has the Kardashian Clan taking on the West Clan (Oh Joy!) The show also has Brooklyn Decker and Andy Rodick taking on Bobby Bones (who???) and Tara Lipinski taking on Johnny Weir. (Well somebody has to I guess)

Howie Mandel--5th Annual All Star Comedy Gathering (The CW): Taking Place Up In Good Ol' Montreal!!!!! (God Love You Howie!!!)

Antiques Roadshow (PBS): From 2016 and set in Charleston, we got a Babe Ruth archive; a Japanese Koman icon, a gold vase circa 1890; and a Virginia Edsel collaratte. (Nods)

Guy's Grocery Games (Food): More fun and games with Guy Fieri!

The Food That Build America (History): Shouldn't this be on The Food Channel??? This is about the Memorial Day Cookout. (Is that a national thing that i don't know about???)

I Was Lorena Bobbit (Lifetime): New Lifetime Movie that stars Demi Montelino and Luke Humphrey and is well I think you can gather what its about from the title there.

Love and Sunshine (Hallmark): A retired military dog's handler comes looking for his dog---love will more than likely be found. Starring Danica McKellar.

8:30

Bob Hearts Abishola (CBS): "Nigerians Don't Do Useless Things" is the episode's title--and it is also a rerun of the show's very 2nd episode! (So you could just jump right into this one honestly since the first one was pretty much them meeting each other)

9:00

All Rise (CBS): Judge Lola is assigned to arraignment court for the week while Mark is assigned to the Charge Evaluations Unit for the week in this rerun episode from March. (I wanna say they both learn a lesson or something, but I'm honestly not sure tho it is because of this episode that I now know what the Charge Evaluations Unit is which is apparently a real thing that exists!)

9-1-1 Lone Star (Fox): Rerun Texas Style!

Antiques Roadshow (PBS): 2nd Part of the 2016 visit to Charleston finds a Francis Somirrer astronomical regulated clock, an 1899 Oscar Wilde Manuscript, and a 1969 Rene Portosearrero Cathedral oil painting. (nods)

GRANT (History): Top Pick of the Night goes to this new mini-series starring Justin Salinger (No i don't know who that is either) as Former President Ulysses S. Grant. See his life story in action here!!!! Will I Watch It??? Maybe!!!!I do like the idea of there actually being programing related to actual history on The History Channel once again tho!

Bareskins (Nat Geo): Not to be outdone (although they're totally outdone) but National Geographic premieres its own brand new scripted show tonight with "A group of outcasts battle to escape their past while navigating the brutal frontier and tangled loyalties of The New World" Starring David Thewlis (ooh!) and Marcia Gay Harden (ooh!) (How come i'm only just now hearing about this one???)

Bakeaway Camp with Martha Stewart (Food): "Suddenly Stormy" (I get that its a reference to Suddenly Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors but otherwise i'm lost here)

Beyond the Unknown (Travel): A UFO crash in the Wild West; the extraterrestrial energies of the crystal skull; a secret occult message hidden in the ceiling of Grand Central Station in NYC. (ooh Grand Central Station--I Know Where That Is!!!!)

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Hacker bets Sgt Carter that he can't go more than 24 hours without losing his temper and Carter is just dumb enough to take that bet. (Shazam Sgt Carter!!!)

9:30

Green Acres (MeTV): Arnold appears in a local theater production! (Viva Le Oink!)

10:00

Bull (CBS): Rerun finds our title character representing a woman charged with kidnapping her niece in order to stop the girl's dad from abusing her. (This sounds like it should be an SVU plotline honestly but alright)

Songland (NBC): Fresh off their appearance on SNL its Boys To Men!!!!! (Woot!) Boys To Men sits in on the guest panel on this Shark Tank but with struggling musicians and songwriters pitching their songs to the judges instead of products or inventions.

The Baker and the Beauty (ABC): Still somehow airing is this show "Noa is blindsided when an unlikely opponent attempts to take control of her company; after a series of setbacks Daniel is surprised when an old friend comes to his rescue; Natalie continues to defy her parents" (I wonder who the old friend is...maybe its Ulysses S Grant!!!!)

Independent Lens (PBS): "Eating Up Easter" Easter Island faces threats from climate change and globalization. (Someone Please Think About the Statues!!!!)

American Dad (TBS): When Stan sees a middle school classmate, he feels compelled to right an old wrong; Roger feels a cold coming on. (Thank God We Still Have American Dad eps to occupy us thruout the summer honestly)

Amy Schumer Learns To Cook (Food): Brunch Taco Night (????) (I repeat Thank God we still have American Dad eps to occupy us thruout the summer honestly)

Mysteries of the Unknown (Travel): "Taking Down the Mob" (Sure why not???)

Bareskins (Nat Geo): Airing a 2nd straight episode in a row is this new show that I only just heard of just now with "In the wilds of new France, Mathilde is entrusted with protecting the creek masacre survivors (???); and Trepagry becomes unreachable. (Maybe he's busy watching that Ulysses S Grant miniseries)

Creepshow (AMC): Harry stumbles upon an old scarecrow and accidentally brings it back to life (This can't end well); Lyla kills her lover and needs to hide the evidence, but she gets trapped inside an elevator with the body. (D'oh!!!!)
