What's On Tonight (Thursday): Say Adiós To New 'Young Sheldon' and 'Mom' Episodes

Hola mis amigos...Bienvenidos a What's On Anoche para April 16th 2020!

Streaming:

The Good Fight (CBS ALL ACCESS): Reddick, Boseman & Lockhart attempt to adjust to their new landscape as a small subsidiary of STR Laurie, a huge multi-national law firm; Diane encounters a familiar face in court; Lucca is given an exciting, high-profile divorce case.

Devs (HULU)--First season finale finds Lily finally arriving at a final confrontation with Forest and Katie, hoping to find some degree of closure and resolution. (that's not mysterious at all) (Has anyone here been watching this one???)

Fauda (Netflix): Season 3 of this Israeli espionage show about a retired member of the Israeli Defense Force (I've never heard of this--but if i know my genre tv, he's not gonna stay "retired" for very long before getting dragged into action--because TV convention demands it!)

Broadcast:

Young Sheldon (CBS): The young man has a scientific breakthru while at the dentist's office; Dale and Meemaw take a trip to a casino; and Georgie makes a big mistake while he is left in charge to run Dale's store. (Oh man, Coach is not gonna be happy to hear that when he comes back from his trip!) (Also since this was the last Young Sheldon episode completed before the shutdown due to the virus, this episode will serve as the show's third season finale---has this show really been on for 3 seasons already???)

Superstore (NBC): Rerun of the episode where Cloud 9 tries to implement "curb side pickup" which ends up stressing out all the poor employees whose new duties now include running items from the store selves to an idling car in the parking lot (This goes about as well as you'd imagine it would which is not at all); Cheyenne attempts to set Amy's brother up with Mateo.

Last Man Standing (FOX): When Reverend Paul recruits Kyle and Mandy to the church bowling team, Mike is left with 2 bad options for his own team; Vanessa meanwhile tries to get an endorsement from the Teacher's Association to help the Assembly campaign. (The episode is titled "The Big LeBaxter" (Ha cause bowling get it? you get it!)

Disney Family Singalong (ABC): Looks to be cheap game show filler (sorry Jay S) in which Ryan Seacrest hosts a bunch of people (tourists maybe?) to see who knows the lyrics to Disney songs the best. (Honestly, I could think of worse game show ideas)

Katy Keene (The CW): Katy struggling to find her place in her new position turns to Gloria, who gives her good advice; Alex wants Josie to put together the Pussycats again; and Pepper engages in an online feud that could ruin everything for her. (All the kings' horses, and all the kings' men couldn't put Josie and the Pussycats together again)

Married at First Sight (Lifetime):

The Sweetest Heart (Hallmark): With help from a handsome stranger/investment banker; Maddie does everything she can to save her business from going under. (I'm guessing love will be found in the process???) Starring Julie Gonzalo and Chris McNally. (shrugs)

8:30

Man With A Plan (CBS): Adam and Andi both offer their son Teddy some dating advice when he starts to date, but said advice ends up only making things awkward for them all in the end. (Gee, how could anything Not Joey says end up backfiring on him later on in the same episode??? It only seems to happen oh only 85% of the time??? That's still a good 15% where things he says doesn't backfire on him!!!!)

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (NBC): Holt asks for Jake's help in a case that is meaningful to him on a personal level; Charles and Terry both work together on a side business. (You know this show rarely has ever paired up Charles and Terry before--maybe this'll actually work out???)

Last Man Standing (FOX): Rerun of the episode that had Vanessa learning a secret that she thinks could ruin Ed and Bonnie's wedding day. (awww no don't ruin Hector Elizondo's wedding day!!!)

9:00

Mom (CBS): The ladies' friendships are tested when they live in close quarters during a sober retreat. (The episode is titled "Big Sad Eyes and an Antique Hot Dog") (This episode much like Young Sheldon is the last one completed before production had to shut down so this makes this episode the 7th season finale!) (7 seasons--that's a good run--and they've already been renewed for another 2 meaning the show will have managed to go 9 seasons!)

Will and Grace (NBC): Karen celebrates her baseball team's championship win; Will and Grace go to an open house which leads to a conversation about their future living arrangements; and Jack has to decide if he wants to stay living in the city to continue pursuing his dreams. (Didn't he just buy and now manages the drag bar that he continually hung out in??? I thought that was him moving on!) (Also i believe this is the penultimate episode right as its episode 17 of the season and i believe NBC only ordered 18? I could be wrong)

Mental Samurai (FOX): RERUN!

Station 19 (ABC): Vic rallies the crew to pose for a calendar photo shoot that will support a good cause; Emmett comes clean to Ben and Sullivan and tries to show Andy a softer side. (Come See the Softer Side of Sears!)

In the Dark (The CW): SEASON PREMIERE! 2nd Season Premiere To Be Precise of this semi solid serialized Canadian mystery show that aired late last spring and well into summer about a blind woman who found herself embroiled in mystery when she tried to get the cops to investigate the mysterious disappearance of her best friend (whom she rightly suspected had been killed) This season premiere picks up right where last season left off with "Murphy, Jess, and Felix--all of whom are employees at a veterinary clinic that Murphy's parents fund---needing to act quickly to device a plan that will keep them out of Nia's crosshairs" (Nia being the crime boss big shot who found herself at odds with Murphy when it turned out that Murphy investigating her friend's death ended up shining a light on her criminal dealings) (D'oh)

Wife Swap (Paramount): A materialistic city wife who believes in keeping up appearances swaps with a charity minded wife. (And i'm guessing the charity minded wife doesn't care about keeping up appearances?!?!?!?)

Naked and Afraid (Discovery): This show returns to the schedule with an episode about a single mom trying to survive the elements in the wilderness part of South Africa. (I don't know why either! Is there a cash prize at the end for doing so??? I've never actually seen this show so i don't even know what the incentive is for participating in this!)

Swamp People (History): "Graduation Day"

Great Food Truck Race (Food): "Santa Barbra Avocado Farm"

Ghost Adventures (Travel): A Saloon in Virginia City Nevada.

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Carter is aghast when Gomer adopts a pet skunk. (SHAZAM!!!!)

9:30

Broke (CBS): When Javier and Liz learn that their rich friends are in town, they try and muster up the courage to go and ask them to pay back the large amount of money that they are owed; Jackie complains of being undervalued at her work and so Luis convinces her to ask for a raise. (nods)

Indebted (NBC): "Everybody's Talking About the Shiva" (Everybody's Talking About the Shiva...I can't hear a word they're saying....only the echoes of their mourning) (Ehh i tried)

Green Acres (MeTV): Oliver tries to convince Lisa to start making her own presents rather than buying things for people. (Ok!)

10:00

Tommy (CBS): Tommy tries to help a young woman who intentionally gets arrested to buy time for her political asylum request to be approved; a reporter friend of Blake's asks her about the prison murder of Mayor Grey's former campaign donor. (Ruh-Roh!) (Tommy Can You Hear the Mayor's Pleas For Help Here???)

Law and Order Special Victims Unit (NBC): The squad struggles to find a serial predator who uses a date rape drug that leaves no evidence behind. (Whoa); Rollins receives some good news for a change. ("Solving For Unknowns" is the episode's title)

How To Get Away With Murder (ABC): Annalise is forced to fight for her life while Gabriel approaches Michaela, Connor, and Oliver with a theory about Sam's murder; Frank and Bonnie have a heart to heart. (Soooo i'm guessing one of them is gonna end up murdering the other---i'm speculating, maybe not!)

Better Things (FX): Sam has a flashback and a wolf pack. (The episode is titled "Father's Day" and runs until 10:40 tonight)

Top Chef (Bravo): In the Quickfire, the chefs play a game of telephone with their loved ones as they try to reproduce the meal that a family member is eating at a restaurant nearby; the chefs then must create a signature product that they can sell at a food festival. (The episode is titled "Bring Your Loved One To Work")

Tacoma PD (Tru TV): Looking for another female friend, Lucy convinces Chief McConky to transfer firefighter Delilah to the station; Threatened by their new female colleague, the guys on the crew desperately attempt to find a new macho outlet for their energy. (I bet this ends well)

Siren (Freeform): Ben and Maddie help Ryn guide her surrogate thru a life threatening delivery; Helen and Xander deliver a hybrid coprse to Beth at the Ranch; Xander faces danger on the high seas during a ride alond with the Bristol Cove water patrol. (Water Patrol???)

Rob Riggles's Global Investigator (Discovery): Investigating Rome's missing 9th Legion which mysteriously vanished and learns about ancient skulls and Roman ghosts supposed haunting the area.

Cake (FXX): I keep forgetting about this surrealist sketch show that i know Amadeus likes---Tonight "Sorry, Not Sorry" with the description "Blaming it all on disdain" (sounds reasonable enough!)

THIS IS ALL I GOT FOR TONIGHT---HAVE A GOOD THURSDAY AND LETS ALL TRY TO DO IT ALL AGAIN TOMORROW NIGHT!
