What's On Tonight (Thursday): Grey's Anatomy Serves Up An Early Season Finale

Grey's Anatomy was on Season 16, and is tonight airing episode 21 of what was to be either a 24 or 25 episode season, so they're actually not too bad as most shows seemed to have been suspended while on episode 20 or so of production for the season. Still i know more than other shows, Grey's usually has an eventful season finale and with this it looks like they're signing off with just another episode--but hey its Grey's Anatomy, there's no way this show doesn't live to see a full 20 season run at this point right??? This is What's On for April 9th 2020

Streaming:

Devs (Hulu): Katie and Forest have an awkward chat.  (There's a minute long clip of this on youtube which is where i found the synopsis cause i couldn't find it seemingly anywhere else---this clip btw  looks bizarre as heck--Is this the entire show? Actors speaking their lines very stiltedly at one another??? I heard good things about this show--supposed to be very intriguing--but this clip is not selling me on it at all.)

Netflix has the 2nd season of an Anime show called "Hi-Score Girl" (???)

and Netflix also has the 2nd season of a reality show called "The Circle" which is described by Google as "Catfish meets Big Brother" which huh??? (Apparently its a group of people all living in an apartment complex but the catch is that they never meet one another as they can only communicate with one another via social media--apparently whomever can outfool everyone there wins the grand prize of 100 K which again whaaa???) (This is a show?!?!?!?)

Also CBS All Access premieres a show from Stephen Colbert called "Tooning Out the News" (which looks to be an off-shoot of Our Cartoon President except this time with news anchors I guess????)

Broadcast:

8:00

Young Sheldon (CBS): Rerun (wait i thought CBS still had a couple eps left of this one no?) has Sheldon and his brother Georgie teaming up to try and mine some platinum from some roadside gravel for some reason; Missy misuses religion to try to help her out of her baseball slump. (How do you misuse religion??? There's no right way to pray!)

Superstore (NBC): Also a rerun tonight---this episode reruns the Toy Drive episode that had Fred Armisen guest starring (meh) and Sandra asking Glenn to be the officiator at her wedding. (Aww)

Last Man Standing (FOX): New tonight however is Tim Allen and co with "A car restoration article about the store spotlights Mike, Chuck, and Ed leaving Joe feeling slighted and unappreciated; Rayn overreacts to Kyle's psych test. (Joe is played by Jay Leno and the idea of Jay Leno feeling slighted and unappreciated is....I don't know how to finish that sentence!)

Station 19 (ABC): The crew battles a storage facility fire with growing complications (and sexy results???); Dr. Jackson Avery from Grey's swings by to collaborate with Ben Warren (aka Dr. Bailey's husband) on something.  (The description does not actually say "on something" I added that in!)

Arrow (The CW): Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 4 is rerun here.

Married At First Sight (Lifetime): People get married without knowing much about their significant other's backround. Happens every day my friend...happens every day.  (So why not an investigative reporter show about it that seems more suited to another channel than Lifetime???)

The Last Bridesmaid (Hallmark): "A single woman watches the last of her girlfriends tie the knot and she doesn't know how to feel about that" ("Gassy? Is it Gas? I bet its gas!") Starring Rachel Boston and Paul W Campbell.

8:30

Man With A Plan (CBS): Adam promises not to lie to Andi again but is forced to do so in order to cover up for Joe, his dad. (I bet Not Joey has a plan for this! He's got to--its the central premise of the show!!!!!)  ("This show has a premise Matthew???" "Yes its in the title!!!")

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (NBC): The Squad competes in an effort to determine who is the greatest human/genius. (This doesn't look like it'll get ugly at all! Nope no way. Also its Boyle--i mean he's clearly the nicest one of anyone there!)

Last Man Standing (Fox): Rerun of the episode that had Mike trying not to hurt Vanessa's feelings while trying to let her know that her snoring is keeping him awake at nights; also Mandy goes overboard preparing for Kristin and Ryan's new baby.

9:00

Man With A Plan (CBS): 2nd Episode of the night finds  Adam and Don (Kevin Nealon) becoming super protective of Lowell when they suspect that he might get back together with his ex wife who cheated on him; Joe experiences an unexpected side effect from his new pace-maker.  (Jenna Dewan played Lowell's ex wife previously; also that unexpected new side effect??? Gotta be the ability to fly right??? What you wouldn't wanna see Stacey Keach experience the power of flight???)

Will and Grace (NBC): When Will compares living with Grace to living with Lucy Ricardo, Grace, Jack, and Karen (KAREN!!!) each imagine themselves to be Lucy will Will playing Ricky to them. (Oh boy just what this show needed---one of them themed episodes!) (Why do Jack and Karen imagine themselves as Lucy you ask btw? Because they each feel that they are the Lucy of the group--which you can't have a group of friends with THREE LUCYS!!!) (LUCIES???)

Grey's Anatomy (ABC): Top Pick of the night goes to this evergreen which is wrapping its season early tonight as said above "Link tries to convince Amelia to take it easy during the final stage of her pregnancy; Hayes asks Meredith a surprising question; and Owen makes a discovery that leaves him reeling" (I wonder if any of these three plotlines could serve as a season finale cliffhanger since this is a show that loves to dole them out every year but couldn't due to coronavirus shutdown)

Mental Samurai (FOX): I thought this was gonna be the show's 2nd season, but apparently Fox is just rerunning the first season here. (shrugs) I don't know what they're saving that 2nd season for exactly! Are the ratings for it in the summer gonna be that much better than they'd be here in April???

Legends of Tomorrow (The CW): Part 5 (and the conclusion!) of Crisis on Infinite Earths gets rerun!

Wife Swap (Paramount): When a devoted pro wrestler wife swaps with the life of a wife of a professional gamer who puts his love of video games over his family, conflict (I'm guessing) happens. ("Wiiiiiffffe Swaaaaaaaappppp----Them Crazy Wife Swaps---Those Fantatic Wiiiiiiiiiifffffe Swaaaaaapppp--Oh How They Swaaaaapppp")

Rob Riggle's Global Investigator (Discovery): Wyatt Earp and the Shootout at the OK Corral is a famous story, but esteemed history profeesor Rob Riggle connects it to the lost treasure of Skeleton Canyon. (Ok the actual description didn't actually say "esteemed history professor" but I feel like this should be a recurring bit for this show honestly!)(Also Skeleton Canyon? What's there? "Skeletons")

Swamp People (History)

Great Food Truck Race (Food)

Ghost Adventures (Travel): The Chinatown Poltergeist (the haunting of a Las Vegas Tiki bar)

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): A Marine breaks his leg which forces Gomer and Sgt. Carter to have to take his pregnant wife to the hospital when her water breaks. (nods) Classic Sitcom Plot!

9:30

Broke (CBS): Jackie encourages Javier and Elizabeth to both get jobs so they can contribute to the household expenses; Javier gets work as a ride share driver while Elizabeth gets one as a personal shopper; Jake worries that Sammy will end up getting hurt by Javier with his cavalier attitude. (shrugs) (Look they both got jobs right??? I didn't think the show would have that happening until season 2 at the earliest!)

Indebted (NBC): Deb decides to become a life coach but her decision makes waves in Dave's and Rebecca's lives. (That's every episode!!!! Deb making waves in the married pair's lives i mean); Stew rejects Joanna's help when trying to come up with a new "As Seen On TV" invention.  (I feel like i'll probably like that B story better than the A story here) (Also why am I still watching this one again???)

Green Acres (MeTV): When Ralph's suitor Mr. Kimball is fired from his job, Oliver schemes to try and get it back. (This definitely feels like something that could've been an Arrow plotline--Oliver Queen would 100% try to help his sister's suitor get his job back!)

10:00

Tommy (CBS): The LAPD races to find an online swatter--a criminal who makes fake 911 calls; When the perp threatens to release personal info about the various members of the police force, Tommy must try to defuse the situation diplomatically. (CBS? CBS? CBS?) (Also I'm 100% sure that SWAT actually did an episode exactly like this a season or two back)

Law and Order Special Victims Unit (NBC): Rerun from October that has the squad getting slammed with three different cases all at the same time, and they're spread way too thin--but try to solve all 3 cases in one night, they shall! (Or my name isn't Sgt. Benson!)

How To Get Away With Murder (ABC): Annalise's disappearance causes everyone to panic, causing Michaela and Connor to possibly consider taking a plea deal; Everyone mourns Asher's death at his funeral (Awwww) while Gabriel Maddox holds on to a key piece of evidence that could reveal who killed him" (And according to the promos for tonight's episode--the killer will be revealed) (Also wasn't Annalise picked up by the FBI at the tail end of last week's episode??? She should be in custody!)

Better Things (FX): Sam goes to the weed store and visits her brother (Kevin Pollak's Back!); Frankie and Sam eat ice cream. (Nobody Ever Expects...Ice Cream!) The episode is titled "High Man/Bye Man" (ha)

Top Chef (Bravo): Kelly Clarkson stops by the kitchen (basically to promote Trolls: World Tour), the chefs are tasked with combining colorful ingredients from 6 different magical lands to create one delicious dish. (oooook)  The episode is titled "You're So Fresh!" (You're Sooo Fresh...I bet you think this dish is about you...you're so freeeesssshhhh...i bet you think this dish is about you...don't you..don't you...don't you)

Tacoma FD (Tru TV): Councilwoman Price tells Terry to find the author of an anonymous firefighter blog.  (Anonymous Firefighter blog??? I'm now envisioning a Yelp revew site for firefighters--"Didn't put out fire completely--1 star" How do you review firefighters as a civilian exactly???)

Siren (Freeform): Ryn seeks help only to learn of the secret existence of her unknown child (!!!!!); Ben sets out on a dangerous path to try and help his mom; Xander tries to establish himself in his new career; and Helen consults with Eliza to help contact Sarge. (This all sounds like a lot---An Unknown Child??? A Dangerous Path??? A New Career??? Contacting Sarge??? You're A Loose Cannon There Siren!!!!) (Also shouldn't this show be airing slightly earlier than 10 PM? Freeform doesn't normally put their original programming on at that last hour of primetime)

Vegas Chef Prizefight (Food):

Dead Files (Travel): Coleraine Minnesota  (Sure why not???)

I THINK THAT'S ALL I GOT HERE! HAVE A GOOD THURSDAY EVERYONE!!!
