⭐ Bad Education 🎥 (HBO, 8 p.m.): With a solid cast led by Hugh Jackman and including Allison Janney, Ray Romano, and Geraldine Viswanathan and based on a New York magazine piece, this high-priced TIFF favorite skips the movie theaters and comes straight to TV -- which is expected nowadays, but not when this was first grabbed by HBO for a substantial $20 million. The movie tells the tale of Frank Tassone (Hugh Jackman), who hoodwinked a Long Island town to the tune of $11.2 million over several years. A student journalist is the one who will start chipping away at his and others' scheming.✔️
