Doctor Who, "Spearhead from Space, Part 1" |
π EASTERN / π CENTRAL

Duncanville (Fox, 8:30 p.m.): When the family gets a smart fridge that turns out to be too smart for Annie's liking, she feels replaced. Dwight in Shining Armor (BYUtv, 8:30 p.m.): PREMIERE. Dwight has been taken by the evil witch Ragana, so now Hexela, Baldric, Gretta, and Chlodwig hatch a plan to save him. Ya know, this show is some decent comfort escapism.
God Friended Me (CBS, 8 p.m.): When the God account sends Miles the names of three employees of an old movie theater he and Ali used to go to as children, he makes it his mission to help the theater's owner raise the money to save the theater before it closes down. Watching episodes like this in the world's current status sounds a bit odd, but I'm sure the escape is a welcome for some. King Kong is at the theater tomorrow, but I'm probably not going.
Into the Arms of Danger π₯ (Lifetime, 8 p.m.): Two paramedics arrive at the site of a car accident to transport an injured 17-year-old girl to the hospital. But instead of taking her there, the strangers bring her to the home of a woman who's grieving over the loss of her daughter. Uhhhhhhh.

After surviving a harrowing ordeal on the lake, the Bennett-Blatt family learns that Rachel's mischievous and somewhat unpredictable dad has been kicked out of his retirement community... and needs to move in with them. Hijinks ensue.

War of the Worlds (Epix, 9 p.m.): "Cracks start to show as the survivors find different ways to cope."
Westworld (HBO, 9 p.m.): PREMIERE. This show is back to season three that I will watch only because of its award nomination chances are high. Unlike several in our online community here, I don't find it a good show at all. And HBO, king of descriptions, states for this premiere: "If one is stuck in a loop, try walking in a straight line." This show is so stuck on itself.
World of Weapons (Smithsonian Channel, 9 p.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. This new series is a look at some of the most important and innovative weapons, from slings and arrows to nuclear bombs to biological warfare -- and how they shaped the world today.

Rav seeks an apology from Judd, as chaos ensues when a seat on a rescue shuttle suddenly becomes available. For some reason, it shall return.
Black Monday (Showtime, 10 p.m.): PREMIERE. Like Kidding, Black Monday is doing back-to-back episodes for the season. After the fallout from Black Monday, Dawn and Blair pursue a new deal from different directions while Mo runs from his past. Later, Blair and Tiff look for a new home.
Curb Your Enthusiasm (HBO, 10:45 p.m.): The episode is titled "Beep Panic" which sounds sorta timely. What is it about? I don't know.
⭐ Good Girls (NBC, 10 p.m.): Sick of working for Rio, who has escaped death twice in this show's run and liberated after killing the FBI agent he was informing for, the good girls go bad(der), taking drastic measures to strongarm Lucy (Charlyne Yi), their unwitting partner in counterfeiting, with gruesome results. The ratings aren't great, but when you throw in other measuring metrics, the show is doing quite well. (I don't think Sunday night is a good fit for it.)
The Johnny Cash Show πΊ (getTV, 10 p.m.): In tonight's duo of episodes: Linda Ronstadt, Eddie Albert, Jerry Reed, and Roy Orbison.
NCIS: New Orleans (CBS, 10 p.m.): When a man impersonating Lasalle attempts to free a young woman from jail, the team investigates the impostor and the prisoner. Twist! They're the same person! (I doubt that's right.) Pride's daughter pays him a surprise visit.
