I thought I had the Africa trip down. Then they canceled Madagascar on me and I didn't have a fit about missing the lemurs and all the other wildlife that is only in Madagascar because Madagascar is weird. It separated from the African mainland forever ago sort of like India except it didn't floating off to bump into Asia and create the Himalayas. Instead it's a world on its own.
So what does he come up with instead? Zimbabwe.
Hmm.
Robert Mugabe was a bona fide hero and took his country out from under European colonialism (Bye Betty!) and into independence. And then dependence. And then despotism. And he wouldn't go away. And every year he came up with another horrible way of holding on to power. And by the end of his exceedingly long career that meant demonizing white people and gay people. I'm two of those things. Wish me luck!
Why are we here? The largest waterfall in the world of course.
