BATMAN---I mean Leader
This Is What's On For February 18th 2020 (dun dun dun-dun)
8:00
NCIS (CBS): The team tries to piece together how a retired Navy officer obtained a rare and valuable coin. (Isn't it just possible that the guy found it somewhere??? Why would the agents overlook the obvious answer???)
Ellen's Game of Games (NBC): "I Fell Into A Burning Ring of Bubbles" (Bubbles don't burn, at worst, its like getting soap or shampoo in your eyes, it mildly stings--unless these aren't regular sopay water bubbles)
The Resident (FOX): The new neurosurgery center opens and Nic is forced to work alongside the villainous Cain again; a heart transplant has an unexpected result; Bell asks Conrad to re-examine three patients who he believed to have been poisoned. (Wait Bell is asking Conrad to examine patients??? Is the show just ignoring/glossing over the previous tension that used to exist between the two or what?)
The Conners (ABC): Dan avoids coping with a death in the family, only to be confronted by it head on; Ben and Darlene address Ben's sudden case of baby fever; Dwight gets the jitters when he has to fill in for the chief who suffers an accident. (Wait who the heck is Dwight???) (Googling it reveals that Dwight is Dan's poker friend so I guess that makes sense--but really if i'm a regular viewer and I am--Its probably not a good sign that i'm asking who Dwight is)
The Flash (The CW): After months of searching for Sue Dearborn, Ralph gets a lead on her whereabouts; Sue refuses to return home to her family (so i guess that lead must've panned out) and instead takes Ralph on a daring adventure; Iris faces a new challenge while Barry considers a potentially dangerous new request; Dwight gets the jitters when he has to fill in for Barry. (Wait a minute here!!!) (I'm kidding on that last one--there's no character on the show named Dwight, at least not yet there isn't!)
Finding Your Roots (PBS): Marissa Tomei, Jimmy Kimmel, and John Turturro all trace their Italian heritage. (ooh Marissa Tomei!)
Washington (History): Part 3 of the new miniseries starring Jeff Daniels has "The Revolution has been won but as warring nations attack America's borders and uprisings threaten from within, Washington builds the new US up with his bare hands while enduring treachery and personal attacks"
All Of My Heart (Hallmark): After inheriting half a house, a woman develops an unexpected friendship with her co-owner. (of course she does!) Starring Lacey Chabert, Brennan Elliot, and somehow Ed Asner as well. (Well why not Ed Asner???)
8:30
Bless This Mess (ABC): Rio comes up with a plan when Sierra confesses something big on her wedding day; Mike and Rudy devise a plan to try and make some money from the New Yorkers who are coming in for the wedding; Beau and Kay find themselves at a crossroads. (Yeah Mike and Rudy, make that money from those jerky New Yorkers--Hey I know better than anyone how jerky we can be!)(Also mmmm jerky)
9:00
FBI (CBS): After the police ignore a desperate father's plea for help, he abducts a billionaire's daughter and holds her hostage in a safe room until his own missing child is returned to him; Jubal puts his hostage negotiation skills to the test. (This episode of FBI sponsored by Bloomberg 2020! "Bloomberg--He doesn't have any kids or loved ones so just try taking anyone in his life as a hostage and see how far that gets ya") (That's a weird campaign slogan, but hey he's the billionaire here)
This Is Us (NBC): The Big Three reconnect at the family cabin. (Are we officially at the place where we were back at Thanksgiving when the show jumped ahead six months and saw them all at the family cabin???)
Gordon Ramsey's 24 Hours To Hell and Back (FOX): Park Restaurant and Bar--a gastropub located in Oak Park California; Rob Gronkowski stops by for some inexplicable reason. (Well i mean a customer's a customer right?)
Mixed-ish (ABC): Alicia gets a bonus after winning a big case and wants to buy a nice car, but Denise wants her to buy 2 cars so that she can have one; Paul tries to teach the kids about the value of money. (I know they used to live on a commune where money wasn't a thing that the kids needed to know about, but i mean they do know what money is right? They do live in America!)
Legends of Tomorrow (The CW): When Sara is called away on a business trip (???), she leaves Ava in charge of the ship; Zari is still onboard the ship and Behrad convinces the crew to bring her along on a mission involving Marie Antoinette which the crew really hopes doesn't end up being a big mistake; Constantine finally confronts someone from his past. (The episode is titled "A Head Of Her Time" which given who the historical figure of the week is this week is very ha ha)
Frontline (PBS): Amazon Empire--The rise and reign of Jeff Bezos. An investigation into how Bezos built Amazon, the company's subsequent rapid success and its global impact. (This is two hours long btw)
Schitt's Creek (Tru TV): Moira and David sample while at Herb Ertlinger's vineyard while Johnny attempts to have the talk with Patrick. (nods)
Chopped (Food): $50,000 Champs Challenge Finale! (Finally!)
Moonshiners (Discovery): A young outlaw with an old pot earns an apprenticeship with Mark, Tickle, and Digger. (These are characters on this show right???)
Gomer Pyle (MeTV): He has to fight his conscience when his singing rehearsals excuse him from his regular duties. (He's conflicted by that??? Also i imagine any fighting Gomer does to include the word Shazam! somewhere in there)
9:30
Black-ish (ABC): Bow is heartbroken to learn that Diane is no longer friends with Sophie; Dre discovers a hole in the wall that Junior and Jack were hiding and forces them to fix their own expensive mistake. (Are you sure that's a good idea to get Junior and Jack to fix the hole in the wall there Dre??? I know you think you're teaching them a lesson, but lets be honest--the 2 of them are more than likely just gonna end up causing an even bigger mess here--you should hire that Dwight guy to fix it! I hear he could use the work!)
10:00
FBI Most Wanted (CBS): Top Pick goes to this rather lackluster procedural (sorry CBS, but i've watched three episodes now, and none of them were particularly good despite the executive produced by Rene Balcer pedigree) Tonight we have a cult leader and his most trusted followers wrecking havoc after the leader orders the murder of his own family members (yikes); As Jess and the team race to find them they uncover the self proclaimed prophet's con man past. (nods) CBS! CBS! CBS!
New Amsterdam (NBC): Max races against the clock to rearrange the budget when faced with employees going unpaid (well that is a good reason); Kapoor is presented with a device that's the future of medicine; Iggy goes against the normal protocol to prove a diagnosis correct; and Bloom gets an unexpected visitor. (Its Bloomberg isn't it) ("This show brought to you by Bloomberg 2020--"Bloomberg--Hey You Should Vote For That Guy") (That's a weird new campaign slogan) (Also New Amsterdam, You've Become Much Too Much!!!)
For Life (ABC): Tensions rise between Aaron and his crew when he provides counsel to a white supremacist to repay his debt to inmate Wild Bill; Ronnie braces for confrontation as he visits the prison to meet Aaron for the first time. (This might actually be an interesting episode???)
Project Blue Book (Tru TV): When Hynek is kidnapped by the mysterious Man in Black, Quinn teams up with the CIA to track him down and save his life. (I'm assuming that Quinn will be successful in doing this, but you never know!!!)
Portals To Hell (Travel): Tonight they travel to a Kentuckey honky tonk considered by many to be the most haunted place on Earth. (Ok!)
Hot Ones: The Game Show (TRU TV): Premiering tonight is this new game show based on the podcast/youtube channel in which people try really really really really spicy hot wings. (nods) 2 teams enter the pepperdome with confidence; but Chef Willie's demonic sauces bring them down hard. (Live From the Pepperdome???)
10:30
Miracle Workers (TBS): Price Chauncley gets an internship; Mikey makes some new friends. (TBS! TBS! TBS!)
HAVE A GREAT TUESDAY ONE AND ALL!!!
