What's On Tonight (Monday): McMillions Arrives On HBO and No I Never Heard Of It Before Either!

Good evening one and all--Welcome to WOT for Feb 3rd 2020

8:00

The Neighborhood (CBS): When Cedric and Dave get shown up by Gemma and Marty at a local bar's trivia night (ooh!), the two neighbors hatch a plan to redeem themselves; A frustrated Tina takes matters into her own hands when Malcolm keeps refusing to introduce her to his new girlfriend. (Trivia! Trivia! Trivia! CBS! CBS! CBS!)
America's Got Talent (NBC): 12 finalists perform but only 6 will move on to the next round, however 5 more will be voted on by superfans--meaning only 1 is going home tonight??? (that doesn't seem like that many considering the two hour run time of this but what do i know?)

9-1-1 Lone Star (FOX): A massive tornado sweeps thru Austin as Owen, Michelle, and their crews race to save those in its path. (Well that is what they do for a living)

The Bachelor (ABC): This crap is running for three hours tonight and is pre-empting The Good Doctor (tho i feel like it would've just ended up being a rerun of The Good Doctor anyways as they're coming off several new eps in a row) Peter and the women travel to Costa Rica, a woman cries alone as Peter goes on a date in a helicopter with someone else; a group of women gost a magazine spread, and a woman speaks to Peter's ability to fix situations. (What is he a fixer or something???)

All American (The CW): With Spencer in bad shape, Grace, Billy, Laura, Olivia, and Layla (who are these people???) all rush to his side. Spencer asks Coop to do him a favor, but somehow things to from bad to worse after he does so; Jordan and his teammates help Billy while he tends to other matters. (Such as running to Spencer's side???)

Antiques Roadshow (PBS): Bonanzaville 2 finds the Roadshow crew looking at A University of North Dakota Margaret Cable box, and Elizabeth Haugard silversmith archive; and a BF Goodrich Tires advertising sign. (nods)

Winter Love Story (Hallmark): Your Hallmark Movie of the Night is this one where "When Cassie's first novel isn't selling she is paired up with a successful author named Eliot in an effort to boost her sales, however along the ways romance starts to bloom" (shrugs) Starting Jen Lilley and Elliot Gould. (No i'm kidding, its not Elliot Gould, I wish it was Elliot Gould tho!)

8:30

Bob Hearts Abishola (CBS): Excited by her physical therapy progress, Dottie decides that it is time to return to work at Max Dot, which causes a great deal of concern and dismay on Bob's part. (Bob, your mom wants to go back to work, how much of a pain in the butt could she have been to be worried over that happening anyways? You worked with her at that company for how many years???)

9:00

All Rise (CBS): When Judge Lola's mom makes a statement about her daughter in a newspaper, Lola must contend with her mom and her colleagues who commend her mom's harsh words about the justice system. (Judge Lola's mom was a firebrand who isn't exactly the biggest fan of the system that her daughter is now a part of) (Ohhh CBS!!!)

Prodigal Son (FOX): Malcolm takes a detour from his mandated vacation time when a killer mimics homicides from one of his favorite children's books--"The Count of Monte Cristo"; the NYPD traces the case back to a high society family planning a big wedding. (Will they be serving Monte Cristo sandwiches at the reception???)

Black Lightning (The CW): Jefferson and Anissa join forces with the ASA to help one of their own; Lynn is forced to continue battling her own demons and addiction. (I continue to wonder where these plotlines are going!)

No Passport Required (PBS): Taking a look at the Italian food scene in Philly. (mmmmm!)

The New Pope (HBO): Brannox decides to pay a visit to Pius XIII and is confronted with the intensity of his predecessor's followers; Voriello prepares for a long war with the defiant Sister Lisette after the nuns all go on strike (Can they do that???): the church faces the prospect of bankruptcy. (Just another day in the wacky lives of those Vatican workers!!!)

American Pickers (History): Teaming with taxidermy, Ron's Illinois home is like "Pet Semetary" meets the Natural History Museum. (Don't Wanna Be Buried In A Natural History Museum!) (that doesn't really rhyme does it)

Brain Games (Nat Geo): This time around its the Kids Vs Adults as Black-ish stars Anthony Anderson takes on his younger tv daughter Marsai Martin (Did you know this show was hosted by Keegan Michael Key??? I did not but now I do know!)

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Carter half-heartedly asks Gomer to represent the platoon in the base talent contest. (I'm gonna guess that Gomer's talent is singing yes? I mean it pretty much has to be)

10:00

Bull (CBS): A couple are sued by their baby's biological father for custody after a fertility mix-up; Since family court cases are solely decided by the judge, Bull and Benny must consider their best strategy since they don't have a jury to analyze or manipulate. (This sounds like it could be a Lifetime movie actually!)

Manifest (NBC): When Grace and Cal are involved in a suspicious hit and run, Ben is determined to get to the bottom of it; Michaela investigates a brutal attack at the Church of the Believers, but she finds her efforts are stymied by Adrian's refusal to cooperate. (Damnit Adrian!!!!)

Independent Lens (PBS): "Cooked: Survival by Zip Code"---The July 95 heat wave in Chicago claimed 739 lives in a single week becoming the most traumatic heat wave in U.S. History. (well recorded U.S. History) (Also how in the modern age do that many people die in a heat wave??? Tune in and find out???)

McMillions (HBO): Top Pick of the night goes to this new six part documentary series that i literally just learned about the existence of while writing this "An anonymous tip FBI Agent Doug Matthews speaks of a con surrounding the much beloved McDonald's Monopoly Game and its mysterious mastermind is a man calling himself Uncle Jerry" (This is a true story btw--I know HBO is known for hard hitting exposes, but this could actually be a fun true crime one, although how on Earth they spin this for six weeks kinda bemuses me)

Spy Games (Bravo): Competitors break into 2 teams for a challenge after being tasked with breaking into a decoy spy safe house, but only one team can win. (Well that's generally how those things work)

Pawn Stars (History): Rick heads to Boston to check out an iconic warship; a Paul McCartney signed guitar; a curious corkscrew collection; Rick gets a lead on an Apple 1 and he has to decide if he wants a byte. (hahaha)

Beyond the Unknown (Travel): The Hope Diamond has a deadly curse upon it; A message that could have averted the Titanic's run-in with an iceberg; and the mystery of the Jersey Devil. (Somebody get that Hope Diamond to the Jersey Devil ASAP!)

Cops (Paramount): A shoplifter insists that he had charitable intentions with his haul; a baseball fan is found with illicit items in his car; a traffic stop for dark tint (???) leads to more problems for the driver.

Carter (WGN); SO THIS SHOW IS APPARENTLY BEING SHOWN AT MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AND NOT AT THE FORMERLY DESIGNATED TIMESLOT OF TEN O'CLOCK (THAT'S CRAZY!!!) But if you can wait til Midnight for Jerry O'Connell and co---"The surprising new star of "Call Carter" comes to town to ride along with Harley" The episode is called "Harley Gets Replaced"  (WHY IS CARTER BEING PUSHED TO THE MIDNIGHT HOUR?!?!?!?!? I'M GUESSING THIS MEANS SEASON THREE IS A LONGSHOT NOW!)

HAVE A GOOD MONDAY????
