Totally Tunes: Hooked On A Feeling

It's been over a month since the mixtape/playlist website 8tracks closed its doors, an announcement which was made only by email to the service's users. Something something about going through all the investor money without putting any effort into Spotify-level curated playlists and/or paying the artists. The important thing is that I had totally forgotten about the site until the email... and about making mixtapes for people. But it's a thing, and a very important one!

See, I'm not much of a mixtape person. 8tracks, on their departing email, reminded me I had only done one mixtape on the site: a collection of subtly love-declaration songs I did for a lady friend in an attempt of making my feelings known. She didn't get the hint, I chickened out, and now she's very happy with this ugly-looking dude, so whatever, I'm not crying, it's just been raining on my face. But fact is, that was my sole attempt at making a mixtape, and the only other mixtapes I know are the Guardians of the Galaxy ones.

But I'm sure that most of y'all are more experienced on mixtapes than me, so here are tonight's questions: Have you ever made a mixtape? Do you have an interesting (sad/funny/etc.) story related to a mixtape?
