What's On Tonight (Tuesday): Uhhhhhh Famously Afraid? A rerun of NCIS? GREEN ACRES?!

(Throws hands in the air) Your guess is as good as mine as to what should be made Top Pick tonight quite honestly---its ALL reruns and specials tonight Tuesday December 24th 2019 (AKA Christmas Eve) (Hey what if i just made Top Pick those commercials where Zachary Levi is singing "Follow me to a place I know downtown with endless possibilities so you can check your list off row by row..." Would it be considered a cheat if i made Top Pick a commercial???)

Streaming:

NETFLIX HAS A COUPLE OF THINGS PREMIERING (which I almost forgot to look up to check!)

A 2nd SEASON OF LOST IN SPACE (Who asked for a reboot of Lost In Space??? Lost In Space--Now Even Lostier!!!! Lost In Space Is Loster Than Ever!!!!) Parker Posey is in it tho! PARKER POSEY!!!! (Was this actually good those of you who saw it? I remember thinking about checking it out when it launched--ha, launched--but i guess i forgot about it and never did end up doing the check it out thing) (I guess this should logically be Top Pick but i kinda like having chaos be the top pick!) (Chaos--Its What's For Dinner!)

A Korean show called "CRASH LANDING ON YOU" ("A South Korean heiress crash lands in North Korea and an army officer impulsively decides he will help her hide for some reason")

and a new John Mulaney Stand Up Special ("John Mulaney And The Sack Lunch Bunch")

I GUESS WE HAVE ALL BEEN SAVED BY NETFLIX HERE BECAUSE CHECK OUT WHAT'S ON BROADCAST HERE:

8:00

NCIS (CBS): An accident involving a back-hoe in a cemetery reveals the remains of a soldier thought to have been killed in 9/11 since he hadn't been seen or heard from since then, and there is in fact a personal connection as he apparently was someone Gibbs had known in the past. (This was a rerun from last April, so its not even a Christmas set episode, but i do remember it being fairly effective)

It's A Wonderful Life (NBC): "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings"

A Christmas Story Live (FOX): Re-airing of the 2017 live staging of A Christmas Story starring Matthew Broderick and Maya Rudolph. (I don't know why this was done at the time either!) Ironically this is airing just as TBS and TNT are starting their annual 24 hour non-stop run of the 1983 film upon which this is based--sooooo that's just poor timing on Fox's part I guess as they could've easily ran this tomorrow night immediately after that 24 hour marathon run has ended!)

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town (ABC): This 1970 Rankin Bass special featuring one Fred Astaire is dusted off and aired on network primetime!

Masters of Illusion-Christmas Magic (The CW): Dean Cain hosted show about magicians doing tricks--this time its a Christmas set edition! (waves hands)

Great Performances (PBS): A re-airing of "The King and I" from Broadway with Kelli O'Hara and Ken Wattanabe

A Date By Christmas Eve (Lifetime): Vanessa Lengies stars in this one about an app designer who is suddenly granted magic powers by her app and she decides to use them to set people up with each others' soul mates or something. Will she be able to meet her own soulmate by Christmas Eve???

Christmas Town (Hallmark): Candice Cameron Bure And Tim Rozon star in a movie about a woman from Boston who moves to a small town to start all over and gets a detour thru a strange town along the way where she might or might not fall in love with a handsome stranger. (Well he is Doc Holiday!)

9:00

FBI (CBS): Rerun of the last season's finale in which Maggie learns what actually happened to her husband when he was killed. (Her husband had already been dead a while when the show started, so he wasn't someone we knew, but we knew she was in mourning and that he had been killed under "mysterious circumstances")

CMA Christmas (ABC): Rebroadcast of a two hour special that aired a couple weeks back. (Country Music Awards are what CMA stands for--although they're not issuing any awards during this special so i don't know why the A is still there)

Greatest Holiday Commercials (The CW): Another hour long filler special about Christmas set ads that I would bet probably don't go beyond the 90s since its The CW here. (I wonder if they'll have that Folgers ad where the older brother returns home after being away so long and the mom sobs "Awww you're home" I remember that vividly tho i think it dates back to the late 80s) (ooh they should have that Fruity Pebbles ad where Barney dresses up as Santa to try and trick Fred into giving him a bowl---"Huh Huh Ho--I'm Huh-Huh-Hungry...Santa???")

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): See how far i'm stretching here by including this? Gomer reports contact with aliens, so Sgt. Carter makes him see a psychiatrist  (Not A Christmas Episode!)

Moonshiners (Discovery): Its A Moonshiner's Christmas! (No seriously!)

9:30

Green Acres (MeTV): When Lisa wants to learn how to drive, Oliver is faced with apple harvest season alone.  (Because Lisa's too busy learning how to drive???)

10:00

FBI (CBS): Yet another rerun episode of this show--Why No NCIS New Orleans rerun here? Cause that show is moving to Sundays!  In this episode a criminal profiler like the ones used on Criminal Minds is brought in to profile a string of bombings of Wall Street execs--the main stars of the show clash with the profiler thinking he's too cocky--Paulo Costanzo of Royal Pains and Road Trip (and Joey!) plays the profiler.  (Merry Christmas FBI!)

Famously Afraid (Travel): The one and only thing running a new episode tonight (actually no Moonshiners was also new) is this show with C and D list celebrities telling us about the paranormal encounters they've had in their lives! Tonight's episode has Patti Stranger (Aka "The Matchmaker Millionaire") relaying an extraterrestrial encounter while on vacation in New Mexico once; John Melendez ("Stuttering John!") recalling childhood memories of paranormal forces reaching out to him (Sure I'll believe that Stuttering John--its not like you're known for making stuff up and fooling people or anything like that!); and actor Parker Stevenson (Wow--that's a name i havn't heard in a long time) recalling some advice he once received from beyond the grave.  (I am literally happy to have this one to throw in here because hey its something to list--"And The List Is Life!")

A Christmas Wish (Lifetime) Hilarie Burton and Pam Grier are somehow in this one  where "Every Christmas in the small town of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, a wooden wishing box is placed in the  park as a town Christmas tradition" Somehow this involves love I bet!)

MERRY DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS YOU OLD SAVINGS AND LOAN!!!!

SERIOUSLY THANKS FOR READING ME WOT'S OVER THE PAST NUMBER O MONTHS GANG!  ITS BEEN FUN TO WRITE AND JUST THANKS FOR LETTING ME DO IT I GUESS IS ALL. OH LOOK ITS THAT ZACHARY LEVI COMMERCIAL AGAIN!!!! I"M MAKING THIS SONG UP AS I GOOOOOO!!!!! THIS AD WILL NEVER GET OLD RIGHT???
